In this video, I prepare my 1974 Peugeot 304 S for a 700 km road trip across France. It's a slightly ropey but lovable old car, and we have many sites to take in and adventures along the way! Burgundy is absolutely stunning. We visit the BarnFind museum and find loads of Road Trip Gold. The solo road trip in an old car is pure magic, so buckle up for the ride!

Great video mate, the car show was actually awesome so thanks for stopping by, as an Australian it's super cool to see all those different old models of car , much of which never made it till our country .
Andrea looked super happy with his Peugeot,
it's nice to know your work is being appreciated and you've given all these cars extra life rather than just sitting and rotting.
Thanks again 👍

I do like a message from the sponsor that’s amusing and informative. Some of the only Ads I ever watch👏

I liked the combination of repairs and driving. I've done a few solo trips myself, and I've noticed it does wonders for clearing my mind.Well done. Boring is good.

I've always admired that Peugeot front end since I was a kid in the 70's.

This video was lovely. The scenery, the villages and everything in between were very nice to see. This video also reminder me of my 1974 Peugeot 504 station wagon. It's long gone and the engine and road sounds brought back memories because they were so similar to my old car. Alas, Peugeot's of any type are very difficult to find here in the USA anymore because they haven't been imported into the States for decades. Thanks again!

17.45 I learned back in the day, it is called a Hardy disc, if I google it, a short notice pops up about a British company called E.J. Hardy

spare tire usually goes upside down to not collect water

Wrapping the spare in a plastic dustbin bag was the solution to the dirty spare problem in my day.

Bonnes routes ! :)

That right angle belt set up is WILD!
Just when you think you've seen everything...

Wonderful stuff, Al, and thank you for taking us along👍 The garage in the village where I grew up was a Peugeot main dealer(quite "avant-garde" for the 1970s!) so these-and other models-were everywhere, although I haven't seen one "in the metal" for many years now!

That belt setup is nearly identical to the cooling fan belt on the Chevy Corvair 😅

Love Peugeots from this time. I owned a Peugeot 305 estate back in the day. It was a very reliable comfortable car. Great channel thanks.

Excellent video! Thank you for taking us with you! The barn find museum looks worth a visit! I have driven a Peugeot 205 across France a few times, love the old villages and backroads.

Really enjoyed this video thanks. Great to see the county side and quant villages.
Always been a bit of a Peugeot fan, parents had a 404 and a 504, both great cars in there own way. Shame modern French cars have lost the ride quality and French querks. Last decent riding Peugeot we had was a 407. Current 508 rides like a dray. Cheers from New Zealand.
