This game story is written like old Warhammer 40k lore, specifically 1st edition lore, as in make a bunch of cool shit and then try to rationalize it in lore. I love it.

I love the fact that the Slayer can't really be eliminated, only temporarily contained and not even death can contain him.

I honestly feel like Marok's death and turning into the icon of sin, the fall of Night Sentinels and Novik's deterioration could start in the DLC of the game with us finally getting the full detail on Valen's grief, nightmares, betrayal and full detail of everything that goes horribly wrong with Night Sentinels being almost completely destroyed in action with our own eyes instead of reading. Considering by the end of the game Marok is still alive and everyone is basically happy

So now we not only have to worry about demons, but we also now have to worry about Lovecraftian monsters now. Cannot wait to see what the next threat Doom Guy needs to fight next!

Thanks for this, honestly I still have no idea what was going on during the entire campaign, I just killed everything that moved and passed the levels until I reached the end, with some cool cutscenes in between

The last time I understood Doom lore was Doom Guy investigating a mining colony on Mars that opened a portal to Hell, returning to Earth, and staying in Hell to fight demons as the Slayer. Everything after that is lost on me lol

The cosmic realm is 100000000% a bridge to a quake reboot, calling it now.

Something you didn't mention is that at the end of the game he takes kreed makyrs ship and uses it in hell to get back into his regular routine of killing deamons in hell, in doom eternal it is said that doom fortress is of mayker design, so i think we can assume that over time he transformed kreed's ship into doom fortress seen in doom eternal with sentinal technology and estetic.

"Local guy to angry to die" is PEAK performance

I’d really love to point out how confused or even angry Slayer is once he comes back from the dead. He raises from the tomb that clearly has a pentagram drawn under it. Is it a sign of him questioning the sentinels? This mark belongs to the demons so him being resurrected from this mark had to be very bittersweet for our guy. If someone knows more about this, please tell me cause I might be missing something 🤔

What do you mean how did he survive? Anger mate, doom guy is just “man literally, too angry to die”

In the scene where Ahzrak is roaring after the Slayer killed the Witch and he is brutally wounded, we see the (I think) Hell Priest walking away with some demons, I gotta say thats kinda badass. Dude kept warning Ahzrak everything but he didn't listen

Story had some hype moments but it definitely felt like it was incomplete stares at story DLC

Can’t wait for the full lore, praying it’s like a 2 hour video

I don't think it has been ever explained but this isn't the first time doom guy has died. At the end of Doom 1 episode 1 after fighting the two barons of hell and stepping into the portal, he technically dies and "wakes up" in shores of hell, I like to think that is one of the reasons why hell doesn't kill him as he just respawns

"sensors to detect movement" inside a transparent prison cell

"sir i have eyes"

Uh- are we going to acknowledge the other three Old Ones holding doom guy hostage?

We already knew parts of the story and what was going to happen with this being a prequel. They need to expand the story more. Nice vid G

Expedition 33 next

All of this because they killed his pet rabbit
