About the Renegades: They are what Ren has fostered - nothing but love. As he often likes to say, “A rising tide lifts all ships”

No need to apologise for the silence. You have a reaction channel. If your reaction is stunned silence then that’s what we’re here for. ❤

As a Violet who survived, when I watched the Tales for the first time, I froze. I wanted to crawl out of my own skin and was shocked to the core.
But I realized how important it is to bring awareness to the generational cycle of abuse.
I will forever try to not have my daughter experience this ever 💜

I must admit one of my favorite parts of watching these reactions is when people think they know what they are in for and still completely get blown away by Ren.

You're emotions are exactly what we all felt when watching this trilogy. Do not be afraid to share yours.

U.S. Renegade here. As a D.V. survivor, one of the lyrics that hit me the hardest in this piece is when he taunts her with: Do you think I wanna do this? Because any survivor has heard those gaslighting words so many times. How do you break it? You leave and never go back, but it can be very difficult and scary. Yes, he puts a person right there in the passenger seat. You made it!!! If you can make it through this one, you can get through all of him. These are not the only social issues he brings to light, so enjoy, and welcome.❤❤🎉🎉

I love reactors like yourself who feel it emotionally & viscerally as I do

Very appropriate reaction.
The cycle of violence is exactly what Ren wanted to highlight in order for us to do something about it.
Ren read in the newspaper that a 14 year old boy had stabbed a prostitute after which he was killed by the police. The article ended with the words from a spokesman (for the police, I think) who said ”It’s such a shame”. Ren reacted strongly at the way such a tragedy was dismissed in a few words and then forgotten.
The rest of the story is Ren.
So it’s not actually a true story. But it is still true for so many, too many people. Ren shows us all that we need to strive to be kinder and more loving, even to those who seemingly don’t deserve it. If poor Screech had been met with love and understanding in his childhood the story would probably have ended differently.

It’s okay. Pause. Breath. Reflect. This piece forces us to see the things we’d rather look away from and to hear the voices of the voiceless.

Sometimes I think Ren is a genetic experiment. They mixed genes from Shakespeare, Eminem, Carlos Santana, Richard Clayderman, J Dilla, Bob Marley, Robert De Niro, Gandhi, Spielberg, and many more.

The result was Ren, and Thursday, March 29, 1990, was a happy day for us all.

Oh, and dude, I'm sure you've already heard this, but if not, there's no need to apologize with the Renegades. Experience Ren in the way you experience Ren. We're hear for the honest reaction, and you most definitely deliver.

Kudos for being real and take all the time you need, the Renegades are here for you.

Man, that was raw. Thank you so much for letting us take part! Hope this video will have an cathartic rather than a devastating impact on you.
I cant imaging going through stuff like you did and then watching this video an letting strangers in. You are incredible!

You seem like a good person, thanks for showing us your soul. Hoping only good things come your way.

As a survivor of domestic violence and sa and being a chronically ill disabled person I found Ren about 5 years ago and he has been an accompanying conponent to my healing and living and will always be. Thank you for a beautiful reaction.

Buddy, you 100% deserve a breather after your first two Rean videos.  Please check out Ren and his bandmates in The Big Push busking in the streets.  I suggest starting with I Shot the Sheriff/Raod to Zion/Hip Hop mash up.  The one where Ren is wearing red suspenders in the thumbnail is the version most people prefer.  Not only will it give you a break from the heavier stuff, it will introduce you to some of Ren's friends.  You will find that Ren has lots of really talented friends!

Sir, I am so happy you're still here. We need more people out here breaking painful cycles. What you said was a lightbulb moment for me. Your efforts to not inflict pain on others turned to a consequence of inflicting it on yourself. I have never thought of it that way.

A lot of Ren's songs have sharp edges in one way or another, because he has the courage and honesty to tell stories that aren't told.  His concern is doing justice to those stories, not making them comfortable.  He then encourages us to support each other in the aftermath.  To share our reactions with each other, either formally or informally, in ways that help us heal.

That was a very moving reaction to watch. Thank you for sharing yourself. ❤
