Today I'm sharing seven tips for how to sell more books without using social media. Every time I turn around, someone is trying to teach me how to use Instagram or TikTok to sell books, but this has never been a good fit for me. So I'm on a journey to sell books without being dependent on these platforms, and I'm going to try to teach you how to do the same thing. Get ready to sell more books!

The fact that you've gone from being able to write and publish a book every 2 years to being able to write and publish 3-4 books a year is so encouraging. I haven't published a book yet, but my first (that I'm actually taking seriously and going through all the editing steps) is taking so long that I get discouraged by the messaging that you have to publish multiple books a year to make it as an indie author. But your story gives me hope that my timelines might shorten with experience <3

Writing my latest series and then rapid releasing them every two months really helped me learn consistency. I'm trying to transition to being a full-time author because after ten years of editing other people's books, I'm extremely burnt out and writing so consistently again made me realize that writing is ultimately what lights up my soul ❤

For some weird reason, after watching this video and considering categories and keywords, it clicked that my novel, if not fully cyberpunk, certainly has strong cyberpunk elements.

Not only do I know what to do for these checkboxes, but I've found the 'magic word' to ask for when I commission a cover artist.

Thanks, Natalia!

I plan on doing all. I have heard this on several podcasts, but I like how you explained things better and related to your own work. Thank you.

Ohh, thank you so much for this video, Natalia! I've always struggled with promoting my books and such (especially since I don't use any social media other than YouTube), so this will help a lot!! Thanks so much!

Natalia, I don't know if you are still checking the comments, but I wanted to let you know so I hope you see this.
5 years ago, when I was preparing to publish my book "Mind Aflutter: A Collection of Poetry from a Young Adult Perspective", I got a lot of information from your YouTube tutorials.
They were so helpful that I mentioned/thanked you on my Acknowledgements page at the back of the book.
Thank you!

Hello Natalia

Thanks so much for this very fine and informative video of yours, I´m just going to launch my first book on kdp, and I and many others are very grateful for your good advice and all this very valuable information, because “its a jungle out there” 🙂

Thanks for the tips. I’m happy to know that I did things right with my second book. Please pray for me for good success.

@sheribrucewiggins5552 6 months ago

Thank you for the tips! I immediately went into my kdp and adjusted my keywords and categories. Since my book was published in Dec my time has absolutely been consumed with marketing on social media. So much so that it has really hurt my writing schedule for book two. Thanks for helping me to refocus!

Hi Natalia, new subscriber here...I can't thank you enough for this info! I too am not a huge fan of social media but more importantly, I don't have a lot of free time to allocate for social media since I am both the Storyteller and Illustrator for my first book ever. My high concept fantasy adventure children's (YA) picture book will be self-published and launching later this year, I can't believe it...thank you for sharing your wisdom on this much needed topic for indie publishers!!
