Full. Fucking. Playthrough. Please.

100% turn this into a series for the love of god matthew

10:32 The most powerful NPC in the series

NEED an HD Onimusha collection so bad.

I would love to see a full playthrough of this, the series is so underrated.

You HAVE to keep playing, you didn't even get to see GOGANDANTESS THE GREATEST SWORDSMAN OF ALL DEMONS!

This is a quality morning

Goodbye. runs off awkwardly

I wish Capcom would bring back Onimusha... almost as much as I wish they'd bring back Sengoku BASARA!

I would gladly watch a playthrough of this game; this series is criminally ignored and deserves so much more than where it stands now.

The onimusha series was dope im glad it hasnt been forgotten

You can play as all of the other characters throughout the story if you give them all the right items. They even have upgraded weapons and armor that you can use while playing as them.

Oh nostalgia this is my childhood right here thank you for playing this Matt.
GOGANDANTESS
THE GREATEST SWORDSMAN
OF ALL DEMONS!

Dawn of dreams was way ahead of it's time. I've never been so blown away by a games visuals, as far as being ahead of it's time, even to this day. This one looks tight as well.

The PS2 has a library which is unmatched even today in 2021. The sheer variety and fun this console offers is second to none. The Onimusha games are a few of those fun games in the PS2's library. I am forever a fanboy of the mighty PS2.

Even though it's not as spooky or challenging as Genma, it's probably the best Onimusha experience overall. I've spent untold hours at that inn, giving away all those gifts to my crew and drafting out affinity charts. And my jaw still drops every time I walk past that photorealistic forest stream. That and the train sequence from RE0 have probably pushed the pre-rendered backgrounds as far as they can go. It's such bullshit that the events of this game are barely even mentioned in subsequent games, though. Samanosuke is cool and all, but Jubei is my boi. 😎

Dat voice acting is legendary

100% Onimusha 2 is my favorite in the series.

The third game is a very close second and you could argue it's more modern in it's controls as well as variety, but the second game has my favorite weapons, special attacks, story, and variety in support characters.

The environments are so well done and varied you never get bored of the next location. It's paced so well you never get stuck in one place too long, the upgrade system is improved over the first game.

The relationship system with the support characters creates more replay variety since you get so many different scenarios that play out depending on who you trade materials with and who likes you.

I could go on and on about it.

Onimusha should be not rebooted, but CONTINUED. Instead of trying to beat Nioh as a soulslike, they should go a Devil May Cry and have an insane power fantasy samurai adventure game. Its a niche that doesnt get that much attention and im sure it would sell like hot cakes.

If anyone missed it in that Capcom leak, there was that Onimusha New Work in the list of games coming, and the reason why you didn't see Samura's Destiny and Demon Siege was because Matsuda Yusaku and Jean Reno's likeness needs to be licensed again, if Matt didn't state.
