Ranking every Mario Kart game from worst to best – including Mario Kart World on Switch 2 – and leaning all the way into the chaos. In this video I go through the entire Mario Kart series and place each entry on a definitive list, talking about gameplay, track design, items, character rosters, online modes, battle modes, and how well each game actually holds up today. From weird spin–offs to stone–cold classics, I break down what each Mario Kart does right, what drags it down, and why some entries are still worth loading up in 2025 while others are mostly just “remember that existed?” nostalgia. I love this series, but I’m not afraid to be harsh when a game deserves it.

Every major entry shows up here – Super Mario Kart on SNES, Mario Kart 64 on N64, Super Circuit on GBA, Double Dash!! on GameCube, Mario Kart DS and Mario Kart 7 on handhelds, Mario Kart Wii, Mario Kart 8 on Wii U, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe on Nintendo Switch, the Mario Kart Arcade GP games, Mario Kart Tour on mobile, Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit, and of course the very divisive Mario Kart World on Switch 2. I talk about rubber–band AI, broken items, mission modes, motion controls, 12–player madness, 24–player chaos, anti–gravity, open world hubs, and how much luck is too much luck in a Mario Kart race. Some of these games I grew up playing nonstop, others I barely touch now – and that absolutely affects where they land on this list.

Mario Kart World gets a big spotlight – visuals, music, huge roster, Knockout Tour, the open world, the $80 price tag, and how the 24–player insanity compares to the more “fair” feeling of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. I talk about why some people call it the best Mario Kart ever made, why others think it is wildly overrated, and where I personally fall in that debate. By the end of the video, every Mario Kart has a place on the list – some might line up with your own rankings, some might make you yell at the screen – but the reasoning is all laid out.

Drop your own Mario Kart ranking in the comments – which entry is your number one, which game do you think is overrated, and which one you still boot up today for online races, split–screen chaos or pure nostalgia. If you like Mario Kart retrospectives, Nintendo rankings and longform breakdowns of series like Mario Party, Smash Bros and more, this channel has a lot more on the way.
