i’m honestly impressed with how much you guys are clocking the small details of like last names we know, how unhappy high bottom is with the game, etc

In the scene where snow cries about sejanus he doesn't actually cry because he is sad his friend died. He cries because he knows that the other soldiers are listening and it would be suspicious if he is neutral about his friend's death. Which really shows the kind of person he is and watching the movie you don't get that idea. He is not conflicted at all. Snow doesn't regret his decisions.

I really like how you guys are clocking Coriolanus's POV so well without having read the book. A common criticism I see is that the movie doesn't have his narration like the book does, so it makes him look like a "good" guy who randomly became evil, but seeing you guys get that he always had that mindset without having to read his POV is cool. I read the book before I saw the movie, as I always do before watching any adaptations of anything, so it's interesting for me to see how people who don't have that knowledge from the books get to go in fresh and perceive it all for the first time, and draw their own conclusions. You guys are by far the most spot on, with your interpretation of what he's thinking.

His cousin, Tigris, was in the hunger games movies with Katniss. She remained a good person.

27:36 In the book Clemmie (the girl who takes credit for Coriolanus’ work and gets bitten) doesn’t die, she becomes a kinda snake human. She gets scales, yellow eyes and her skin kinda sheds

I'll still die on the hill that Rachel was and still the perfect casting for Lucy Gray, what an acting, what a singing and an interesting character. The mind of Suzanne Collins is impeccable, to be able to a write a prequel for an existing trilogy! What an author.

The part where the host starts talking about the weather is commentary on our own news where we hear horrible stories about crimes and war and then the weather forecast and ads.

1:24:54  Lucy Grey used singing as a strategy to distance him here : the sound of her singing was repeated by the mockingjays all over the forest, distracting Snow from her traces and confusing him.
Simple, but brilliant.

It’s so wonderful to see the difference between this video and your old reaction. You’ve become such great reactors, very observant and eloquent, not only about the characters’ psychologies but also small details like reoccurring names.
You guys even noticed the fact the Covey have color last names! That’s something that’s only explained in the books.
It’s great to watch! Keep doing what your doing guys 💛

Ahhh I’m SO excited for Sunrise On The Reaping in November, I'm gonna CRY 😭🤩

Fun fact: the floor plan of Snow’s apartment is designed to resemble a snowflake. That’s why some of the rooms are sharp, triangular shapes

fun facts from the books: in catching fire, snow designed the cornucopia around water with the intent that you already had to know how to swim beforehand. katniss only learned how to swim because her dad discovered the covey lake, which snow must’ve clocked. the hanging tree song was also banned by a peacekeeper after lucy gray performed it. katniss learned it from her father, who’s part covey, so snow hearing katniss sing it after all these years must’ve paranoid him even more. the original trilogy don’t show his perspective like tbosas does but many believe that his perspective is he hated katniss because of how much she reminded him of lucy gray and that he believes she was taught by lucy gray to lead this rebellion. instilling even more paranoia in him since he doesn’t know for sure if she died or not.

In the books, Snow doesn’t see Lucy as district because she is covey and that group travelled everywhere before being rounded up

It's definitely good you're rewatching this now given the new movie is coming out in just a couple months

As some of you may know, we have reacted to this movie in the past, but wanted to redo it and give it a proper watch through as we didn't like our old reaction. It was in a different era of our YouTube content creation where we would drink while reacting to movies, resulting in us missing things and talking through important parts of the movie, which honestly doesnt give the movie enough respect. Hopefully you guys enjoy our new reaction to this movie, that we actually enjoyed quite a bit more the second time through.

Highbottom is a clear example of punishing the sin for the sins of the father and a bit of like a self fulfilling prophecy. He targeted Coriolanus forever because he hated his father and hated what his dad had made his name and legacy be attached to, when Coriolanus was a kid who didn’t know any better. From an outside perspective he should’ve taken Coriolanus under his wing after his father’s death and done everything in his power to make sure he didn’t end up like that instead he was cruel and unfair at every turn which eventually turned Coriolanus into the very thing he hated. Snow is obviously still evil and wrong of course, but it’s just so interesting to me how highbottom again created something he wanted to destroy and I feel like not a lot of people talk about that part.

You guys have really calmed down in your reaction videos a lot. It's difficult to watch your year ago videos because there's so much random screaming but I really enjoy watching your 2026 videos. Very much funny and relatable now. Thanks for this reaction guys ❤

The thing with coral is that, i honestly can’t really blame her for being vicious? Because she also just wants to go home :(

The real reason for the Hunger Games is, that the districts keep fighting and hating each other instead of unifying against the capitol again. Katniss breaks that by "burying" Ru, showing compassion for someone from another district. Thats the start of the second rebellion!
