The guy who was the fake cop in the scene they thought they would be saved was actually in the movie from the beginning, being one of the cooks in the kitchen, this detail was made to show us how much we normally don't even pay attention to those who serve us.

This movie honestly is a great commentary on how people treat service workers and how capitalism ruins the ability to just enjoy things as amazing as food! Slowik wants to cook REAL food

Judith Light as the wife is such a treasure. She accepts her fate, even thanking chef. She knew that her husband was an all-time creep and did nothing, so she just shooed the girl to leave since she was an innocent in all of it.

Y'all r picking the right movies lately

A great detail was Slowik giving Margot bread in the form of the burger bun. Earlier he said none of them deserved bread, and yet, Margot got a bun

The student loans part had me wheezing the first time I watched

33:11 I love how you can clearly tell right from the off that Dale is a plant, if you just look close enough. During Slowik's whole spiel about them "being responsible for the death of an innocent man" and yada yada, you can clearly see Dale in his hi-vis jacket standing at the door at the end of the corridor, out of sight of the diners but well within earshot of that whole speech, just waiting for his cue to come in. It's so sneaky, and not something you'd see on a first watch because you'd be watching Slowik give that speech.

You're the first reactor I've seen that caught that she stabbed him in the thigh like he did his father. Even when he had other chef's introducing a dish it was still all about him: his disappointment with his life, him becoming like his dad.

In the original script, Chef says the taco truck was the happiest he'd felt in years, and Lillian ruined that.

And Margot points out that if he didn't want to be found, why did he park his truck right outside a food expo where he knew food critics were going to be?

Cute little behind the scenes detail:

Typically in movies when you see them eating, they either take small bites to avoid filling up or spit it out once the cameras stop rolling.

Nicholas Hoult actually IS eating everything, to keep in character!

During the burger scene nobody was eating except for Anya, so they had to sit there and smell it on empty stomachs.

Afterwards John Leguizamo took everybody out for burgers from Five Guys.

The cheeseburger they made in this movie was rated the world's best cheeseburger that year.

They flew the guy that made it out to teach Ralph Fiennes how to make it.

As an autistic person, when you said autistic enthusiasm to describe this, I almost died laughing. This is how the movie should've been marketed 🤣

'amuse bouche', its basically a french word for starter, or canapé, not the name of a dish. The term literally means 'to amuse the mouth' (pause).

22:05 Yes that donkey comment was a reference to Gordon Ramsay

Varek didn't ask for a substitution for a single meal. The implication is that during COVID he instructed Slowick to scale down the menu and use cheaper ingredients and thus compromise his vision.

“Basically Lord Voldemort of Food” is hilarious because the guy who plays the chef (Ralph Fiennes) played Lord Voldemort in the HP movies

I actually read the original screenplay for this film and there were a few differences, the Hollywood star was originally going to be Daniel Radcliffe himself, additionally, in the cheeseburger scene where you mentioned the ketchup, originally, Margot demands Heinz, but Slowik instead encourages her to try his own sauce made with "Equal parts Heinz, mayo and hot dog mustard".

Also the broken emulsion gag was supposed to escalate to where they waterboarded her with it. Thats why it was getting bigger.
