So in conclusion this is why the real home alone kid didn't die in the film because the family was rich , I get it now

Later Sims games, "You must have an adult to play". The OG Sims, "An orphan? Yea fine, here's $20k, go nuts"

Incidentally, having a burglar alarm OUTSIDE negates needing any inside. The alarm goes off as soon as any thieves approach the house. Old school trick to never get burgled.

Pro tip: IIRC you can study extra on a computer to improve grades easier. If you get your grades up high enough, your grandparents send you money for good grades.

lol I remember playing it as a kid, always being like "what the hell do you mean I need friends to get a job promotion!?"

the necromantic undead maid cleaning his house: 💀

"i'm in this endless loop of either losing money or grade point average" as a college student this is the realist shit i've ever heard!!🔥🔥🔥

You were cooked when you didn’t get the best bed, fridge and tv right away

"What radicalized you?"
"Well there was this Ambiguousamphibian video..."

the cheapest house is actually the one being half cut off on the far left bottom corner. I swear they hide it down there on purpose

I'm starting to wonder how much of the Sims 1 difficulty comes from the fact that you just don't buy the good furniture. "Hm, 11000§, surely I cannot afford to buy a 1500§ bed, I simply must go with the worst bed that will make my sim spend 40% more time in bed."

10:56 "It took me three hours to start relaxing”, Jeez, it's not only depression simulator, but also anxiety simulator.

Your conclusion was actually the message the game was supposed to impart: consumerism makes your life better, but only because the alternative is death.

I like how you moved the fridge outside instead of buying a kitchen trashcan.

This perfectly encapsulates every The Sims 1 run from my youth:
> Start poor and try to pull yourself by the bootstraps.
> Spiral down into madness due to the soul crushing difficulty
> Give up and use cheats to get rich
> Have an existential crisis from the realization that life is so much easier when you just have money

Aaaah memories when the greatest obstacle was a oven off centered

The cheapest bed is the absolute worst thing to use. It takes so much longer to get their energy up that your Sim has no time to do anything else before they need to go to work or school. You NEED to buy a better bed. It's an investment.

Because there was no decorations outside, the room need tanked, decreasing his mood. Some lawn art would have kept it up

@NobodyHeer 11 months ago

i think if you min/maxed the needed furniture, 12k wouldve been plenty of money

@RenneVangr 11 months ago

The "room" requirement influences all other stats.
Have a nice room? Chips fill you more, you'll need to go to the bathroom less, painting sells for more, etc.
