A major thanks to Paradox for sponsoring today's video: Stranded: Alien Dawn here (Sponsored by Paradox): https://store.steampowered.com/app/1324130/Stranded_Alien_Dawn/

Carter began as a 70-year-old criminal with zero skills and ended up as the colony’s doctor, engineer, scientist and military commander. LinkedIn recruiters hate this one simple trick.

"My spaceship just exploded, I crash landed, and I'm completely stranded on this alien planet alone. I'd say I'm about 72% happy 😃"

I went from thinking "Ok it's basically Kenshi" to thinking "Ok it's basically Rimworld" to thinking "Wait, is it the Sims?"

Eating without a table is a War Crime.

6:20 You could say, because of the dementia, he discovers new things every day.

Even though we will remember Carter, he will soon forget us.

I too go outside and become more intelligent in spite of my dementia by looking closely at strange plants

The tech tree in this game is truly insane.
Step 1. Learn to stick logs into the ground to make a fence.
Step 2. Build an airship.
Step 3. Learn to cook your food.
Step 4. Solar panels.
Step 5. Stone foundations
Step 6. Refrigeration?
Step 7. Mech suits

I see Carver got a bright future as a US Secretary of Health

50:17 shows Laara trying to go to sleep, so naturally Carter decides that's the best time to start playing the didgeridoo

Damn.. “a single man with no skills” ….and his name is Carter. Which just so happens to be my name too 😣

"Today we're going to play as a single man with no skills and he will be quite bad..."
I play as this character every day of my life

This is the third video about this game I've seen today, and the other two were from primarily Rimworld players. This big push from Paradox makes me think/hope they are finally going to do something with this game, after leaving it to languish in obscurity for the last three years!
