I view the Teen Beach Franchise as the Camp Rock of its generation
and the Descendants Franchise is the High School Musical of its generation

“forget your dead mom, follow your heart” is diabolical 😂😂😂

I remember watching Teen Beach 2 with my friend and when he saw the ending, he said “what kinda of bullsh*t ending was that” 😂

Need that Lab Rats Might Med retrospective

And now Jordan is constantly booked and busy in musical theatre! Truly a fabulous vocalist.

In desperate need of a Let It Shine retrospective 🙏🏾

If you ever do an Austin and Ally retrospective, you have to mention the way in which the show got a season 4. I was a part of the fandom from season 2 to the end of the series so I remember it all vividly and I'm sure I still have tweets from that time up on my twitter account. Basically the show got cancelled as they were around the end of filming season 3, so the season 3 finale was written to be a series finale. Fans didn't want the show to end yet, naturally, so there was a big campaign to get the show a season 4. I'm talking the official Disney accounts on twitter (and maybe other social media idk) blocked a lot of people for constantly tagging them in season 4 campaign tweets. A ton of other fans sent letters to Disney, wherever that would be idk, and so on and so forth. Just before the season 3 finale aired, Disney caved and re-renewed the show for a 4th and final season. So we all got to watch the "series finale" and be relieved that there was more to come (which, thank goodness, cause even if s4 is the weakest season of the show...the actual series final is perfect and a heck of a lot better than the s3 final). The creators of the show interacted with the fandom a lot on twitter so they might still have tweets up from this time too, they were called Pickles and Pancakes, but their handle may have changed in the last 8 years.

Dude, Disney did NOT let up on the marketing for this movie. This was Disney Channel's favorite channel and they didn't even try to hide it once.

You added one of those “we’re back from commercial” clips and i literally cried. The emotion and memories i got? The family I’ve lost that i used to watch these shoes with? It all just hit me. 😮‍💨

What's wild when thinking about your point avout how they could've had them meet the actors who played the characters in the 60s, is that the movie really does just skip over that concept! Like they spend a bunch of time acknowledging that they're just movie characters, but then when you get into the fact that they can break character within the movie or even go as far as to change it, so many questions about what this means for the original production of the movie in-universe would've been. Obviously none of this is really that deep, and I definitely still have a soft spot for the franchise, but like you said, maybe just not doing this concept for a sequel would've avoided all the hassle.

The first movie’s dance along version premiered on my 10th birthday and I distinctly remember my friends and I liking the movie so much that I re-planned my birthday party activities to end in time for us all to watch the dance along and learn the dances

Bro the I hate most about teen beach 2 is that it ruins everything the first one built mack has never seen west she's constantly making fun of it the moment Brady and her grandfather turn it on she rolls her eyes and says it's lame but in second one she loves it and the ending of Teen beach 2 makes no sense so because the movie doesn't exist Brady and Mack never met the only good thing about the is on my own by Ross Lynch

That frown upside down song DOES sound like a Fresh Beat Band song I knew I wasn't the only one thinking that 😆😆😆

Since you talked a bit about Ross Lynch's music career, I want to take the opportunity to say that his current band, the Driver Era, is really good and deserves more attention.

Ngl at 23:50 I respect that. I'm glad that at least in this movie they do protect Brady being a minor even though in some of the Disney shows and the movies they- for some reason- didn't always do this.

It's kinda cool that the cast performed on DWTS around the same time Riker was a contestant and ended in 2ND PLACE (i remember how devastated I was watching that final haha, but Rumor also deserved that win so it's ok). And then Jordan, who was a part of the cast performance, went on to be a contestant as well a handful of years later and WON. Pretty funny coincidence

That One Direction promo hits different after Liam passed away.

It is so wild to me to hear about how big Teen Beach Movie was. It even had a whole event in club penguin and had Pentatonix do covers?! It's surprising how this movie had so many ties to things I loved but I had no idea about any of this at that time simply due to not watching Disney as much at that time or playing club penguin anymore. Now here I am revisiting my old loves and learning about these things that I wish I knew about back then.

46:04 Liv & Maddie also did this, where one of the characters in the show made a comment about Dove Cameron's character being in a snow boarding movie, and Dove Cameron had actually played a role as a character in the movie Cloud 9

I genuinely like long videos. I will accidentally click on one without looking at the time and decide to give it 10 more minutes then watching the full video with no regrets
