I know this has nothing to do with tessie, but the biggest crime in this show is that they changed his uniform from dark green to bright red

Ngl, I had a HUGE crush on Tony. He was just so charmingly awkward and cute, I absolutely could not help but become smitten with him. I was always rooting for him and Jessie.

i liked them together but i lowkey hate the whole “still not over their ex” trope with the rich guy and jessie

1:54:00 As an African, it pisses me off when shows say that they're going to Africa; like, which country? What city? And the fact that they found him quickly, as if Africa is the size of a shoebox 😑

My headcannon is that Tony's Uncle Joey is Joey Tribianni from Friends because they look and act so similar.

I forgot there was even a ship in this show half the time 😅

I agree with Caitlin that they should’ve let Tony keep his’ dream job of being a firefighter but being one in Los Angeles that way him and Jessie would both be happy with their dream jobs her as a actress and him as a firefighter like come on Disney channel that would’ve been a so much better ending for them 😕

"Turns out there's more fires in LA! Whoulda thought?" would be a WAY better workaround to getting Tony to LA in the finale.

I remember shipping them when I first watched the show, but I will admit I got bored of them quickly. Not because they were boring; they were fun, but I get the feeling the writers didn't know what to do with them, which made their relationship boring later.

I ALWAYS thought Tony was cute and low-key had a crush on him but I always forget that there was supposed to be something romantic between them I never really saw them have much chemistry

It's just so tragic the way Brooks moved on from the relationship.  Not the fact that he moved on, but how.  Even if it didn't work out, she was still good to him the whole time and helped him attain independence and not be fully reliant on his mother.  She cared for him when he was most in need and loved him both with and without money.  Even if though it didn't work out and it wasn't meant to be after all and their dreams pulled them on two different paths, she still should have remained an important person to him that greatly impacted his life and helped him become a better person.  Instead we get him throwing darts at her picture and making comments like "Pulling a Jessie" in reference to running.  It's more tragic than the actual break up.  Guess it's more evidence that everything was rushed while he was in a state of rebellion against his mother.

her relationship with brooks gave very much anna from frozen vibes. engaged after only knowing each other for a few months is crazy enough but then he wants her to pack up her whole life and move to africa with him??

I didn't ship any of Jessie's ships. My bigger issue was the fact that she never had any show-long female friendships.

Tony is where my love for himbos began, he was everything i wanted when i was 10

i haven’t watched jessie in forever so when you got to the episode with officer petey i literally screamed “STARKID??”

It’s weird because they are adults and yet we get more romance from the teen ships. I really think the writers just didn’t know what yo do with them

Tessie are built for each other even tho they’re boring as a ship
But the dark green to bright red uniform change is a outrageous move

I don't understand why anyone would prefer Brooks over Tony?? Like, y'all realize he literally didn't seem to care about Jessie's dreams at all, didn't bother to talk to her about something as important as her moving to another continent LAST MINUTE, acts honestly condescending towards her when it came to what she actually cared about (the kids), and STALKING. He barely knew anything about her! We see this. Tony does, and he does show how much he cares despite being a himbo.

Yes, Brooks seems like the dreamiest guy ever 😂 Tony ftw

Jessie and Bertram’s friendship felt very similar to Fran and Niles’ from The Nanny. Actually, there are a few parallels between the shows like the female protagonist being down on her luck before being taken in by a wealthy family as a nanny figure. Now I need to rewatch both series lol

okay i'm actually shocked bc i always thought i missed the episodes where brooks and jessie were actually together but turns out i did watch all the episodes with them, there just wasn't lot of them
