We Have Always Lived in the Castle is a good book, and a good movie is made based on the book, and the fact that Alexandra Daddario plays the older sister, well, it gives a certain "quality" to the movie...

I recommend people to watch Andrew Scott's Ripley that came out in 2024... it's a masterclass in performance and visuals.

Love the videos man. But can you please not leave the endings on cliffhangers, I like your experimenting with your videos but I think a lot of people would rather you recap the whole book like you used to rather than leave the end uncompleted. Love the videos either way though man. Keep it up!

I’m finding a lot of great reads thanks to you! Almost done with The Troop!

Thanks for including We have always lived in the Castle....Great Explanation

I love all of these books!

This is going to be very interesting! Thank you😊

I studied an excerpt of The Magus in English when I was in high school, at the turn of the century (not my native language), and I've always kept it in mind, there was something strange and compelling about the writing (and I was happy I was starting appreciating that in English too).
I've kept the book in mind all these years, but if John Fowles is translated in French, it must remain a very obscure writer, I don't think I ever came across his books at the bookstore (and I visit them a lot).
I never knew what the whole story was about, but color me VERY curious about it!!!

One of my favorite quotes of all time is from Woman in the Dunes:” they could lick each other’s wounds forever and in the end the wounds would never heal and their tongues be worn away.”

Masterpiece as always, king

Just to check, did the man in Woman in the Dunes use the rope ladder to escape and get a (mostly) happy ending?

can you do a video about the darkest plays (i'm talking about theater)

❤
