2026 journal system tour 📖 & why I took a break from youtube

Megan Wang

hello everyone! LONG TIME NO SEE :D I wanted to return from my youtube hiatus to make a 2026 midyear techo kaigi/journal system video. I also talk a little at the end about why I've been on a youtube hiatus (spoiler it's bc I'm burned out & having health issues lol)

I missed making videos though so I am in the process of figuring out how I can integrate youtube back into my routine in a way that feels interesting to me + won't burn me out lol.

Anyways! I hope you enjoy the video xoxo megan

even if you stopped making videos forever, everything you've done as an artist has been like, immortalized for me like you will always be iconic and inspirational and so so cool. you've worked so hard for so long to have that longevity, i know for sure my artist friends and i will always love your work no matter what! sending you so much love, good health and support always!

Yay I love your planner videos! Also, so so so important to regularly reassess whats working and whats not for you in your practice!!! See you again soon (or later) whenever or if ever you wanna share another video!!!

I'm a few years older than you so I deeply understand having to rethink your process when your energy levels start to dip, ESPECIALLY when you have chronic health issues as well! But I think it's important to remember that your art/ creativity should fit into and enhance your life, not the other way around, and it's ok for your interest/ capacity to change as things in your life change! (Saying this to myself!!! because I haven't done any creative writing this year so far and I've been feeling bad about it. It's so easy to have understanding for others, but hard to apply to yourself!!) I really enjoy your videos, but if you're not feeling excited to make them, you deserve to take a break and do whatever feels most interesting/ doable for you in that particular moment!

Over the years a lot of artists take their breaks for various reasons and I have always stayed subscribed with or without the guarantee of a return
Prioritize health and wellness and those who understand will always be here for when you’re ready ❤️ thank you for keeping us updated 🤗🤗

For Monthly, I like to write what the “fun” thing I did that day was. Sometimes it’s just “we watched Survivor, [person] got voted off” and sometimes it’s “MUSEUM DATE!”. Just cute way to remind myself that I’ve had some nice times.

I must admit, I was so happy to see your video in my subscriptions feed and that cover is so adorable, looks like a patchwork quilt :hands-yellow-heart-red:🥰

I don't think you'd ever become irrelevant to your audience, your videos are super rewatchable so even if you took long breaks we'd probably still come back to watch your older videos! Literally any time I want to find some stationary/pen recs I revisit your channel, as well as all the cozy vlogs :)

All I use is the monthly layout 😅. I need a Birds Eye view of my life and what is coming down the pipeline. I add paydays, bills due dates, deadlines, events…😊 I like your techo….the size looks nice and manageable. I might try that. Such a cute cover!

Oh girl I hear you loud and clear. I hope with your health stuff you have more good days than bad in the next coming months—that's so tough to deal with and you're def not alone in that. I missed your videos BUT I am happier to hear that you are doing what you need to take care of yourself!

Megan i didn’t realize it’s been 5 years already since you started making YT videos. I’m glad you chose to take time off, I love your videos and it is a privilege to get to watch your art journey but your (mental + physical) health matters :) I hope you aren’t feeling guilty for looking after yourself, take care! 💗

Hi from Japan. This is my first time seeing your video. I’ll dig through your old content from now on! Your previously released videos remain valuable, regardless of how often you update your content.
