This movie was so popular amongst the cast that all the actors that became A listers not only came back for a reunion table read, but also for the anime!

Bro said "don't know Aubrey Plaza"
😂

"You look like you didn't get a part in High School Musical"

That's because he was busy literally playing Superman 🤣

fun fact about this movie: all the other actors had to take music classes to play their instruments, but Michael Cera had to actually practice how to look like he is a bad bassist, because in real life he is an amazing basic

59:09 the reason why this happen is because nega Scott is the opposite of Scott and since Scott relatively selfish and a douche sometime, nega Scott is the opposite of that. So he's nice

Fun fact Knives actor is actually older than Michael Cera by 6 years but she still looks super young even now

"I'm in lesbians with you" is one of my all time favorite quotes

As a Canadian, I have to say, all of the depictions, including superpowers, are true

This is an excellently edited movie but your editor also deserves props as they clearly got the vibe and energy so down. Really went above and beyond with their editing.

Scott Pilgrim is a legendary film, it's timeless while being so perfectly of it's time. It's peak Millenial cinema. The comics that it is based on are also beyond fantastic. Edgar Wright absolutely understood the assignment when making this movie.

Fun fact: in the graphic novels Scott is actually kind of a bad person, he is selfish, oblivious, emotionally manipulative. O'Malley has said the whole point of the series is Scott slowly realizing he's the villain of his own story. The film softens him a little, but that's why the Evil Scott fight hits so hard. It's not just a cool moment, it's literally the whole thesis of the story.

It’s a plot thread the movie only hints at, but the comic this is based upon has Scott realizing that just like Ramona’s evil exes, he’s also been a villain in the lives of the people he dated prior to Ramona, and part of his story is him owning up and trying to make amends. That’s why he and Nega-Scott get along so well at the end of the movie- being the polar opposite of Scott, Nega-Scott is just a chill, good dude who’d rather talk it out over a meal instead of fight.

You got to see a movie that had Superman, Captain America and Captain Marvel in it.

1. Most musical cues at the beginning are from The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the past, of which its Game Boy Advance version Young Neil plays on his Nintendo DS.

2. Enemies dropping coins after being defeated is from the NES game River City Ransom

3. A bomb-omb from Scott's band's name Sex Bob-omb is a Mario enemy

4. The band name Crash and The Boys is from an NES game

5. Also Envy's band name Clash at Demonhead is an NES game

6. The Katayanagi twins' dual dragons are a reference to the arcade game Double Dragon

7. The bass line Scott learns is from Final Fantasy II (eventually known by its true name Final Fantasy IV)

7. The ninja game is modeled after Dance Dance Revolution

8. Nega Scott is a red-eyed dark version of Scott, just like Dark Link from Zelda II, a NES game.

9. The name of Gideon's lair, the Chaos Theater, is from the SNES game EarthBound.

My impression has always been that the 7 evil ex'es were just the manifestations of the insecurities Scott had about her past relationships. Those were inner battles portrayed in a "physical' world.

The "she-who-will-not-be-named" line being answered with "Who is it? Voldewhore!?" made me laugh put loud! 😂🤣

Alex I will send you my copies of all three Austin Powers movies. YOU NEED TO SEE THEM! It 100% matches your humor.

Internet is trying to bully you into LOTR for idk how long 😂

I'm positive one of the reasons I love this film so much is its insane pace and it jumping all around constantly cause this stimulates my ADHD ass so much lmao

I like how a lot of this cast played Super Hero's to the point this is basically a Avengers/Justice League movie !
