SHOCK TROOPERS!!! YOU CAN'T ESCAPE ME!!!!! I'LL CHASE YOU TO THE ENDS OF THE EARTH!!!!!!!......I mean it's a fun SNK Arcade Title worth chasing down 🤣🕹️

"MERCS? Never heard of it..." SNK developers, probably.

Oh yes. Big Mama, she awakened something important in young me.

I love how many stock sound effects this game has. The barrels being destroyed, the transport tank things opening in the town level...

There’s always something fun about watching one of your favourite YouTubers find a game you love, play it for the first time, and discover that they love it just as much as you do. Glad you love Shock Troopers so much Matt, it’s a gem.

“Keep on rolling baby, you know what time it is” ah I see you are a man of culture.

GET BACK HERE SHOCK TROOPERS!!!

Now you gotta make a video on Shock Troopers 2nd Squad, Matt... it's available on Arcade Archives and it's worth a look!

I love this game's OST, always have

Wow, this take back to 10th grade in high school, skipping class to stay at the tiny arcade attached to the now defunct Chester's Fried Chicken

Helicopters, the Demon Infested Tanks of the skies.

Shock Troopers 2: The Search for Shock

I love this game, I own it for the SNK compilation,  SNK arcade classics vol. 1 on my PSP.

Okay seriously, if Big Mama isn't in a Capcom vs. SNK 3 or SVC 2, I swear to God...

Shock Troopers does indeed slap.

Shock Troopers is part of my ultimate SNK arcade fun pack, together with Metal Slug 1, Real Bout Special and Samurai Shodown 2. They have plenty of other titles that are amazing, but these are just so much pick up and play fun.

Shock Troopers is definitely one of my favorite Neo-Geo titles.

The sound effects are very metal slug-esque.

I remember loving this game whenever I found it! Metal slug is still top but this is also great. And it was probably SNK's attempt to bring Ikari Warriors out of the 80s and into the 90s under a new brand.

FYI there are actually two versions of this game.  Version A is the version in this Steam port, where all characters share a life bar.  Version B gives each character their own life bars, giving a little more strategy to swapping out the team members.  I think if you go Lonely Wolf in Version B you also get multiple lives in lieu of the different characters.
