Napoleon III didn’t do as much damage to the French-Mexican relationship as this film.

"Do you want social or artistic credibility? Because you can't have both."
You can have neither, though.

I am disappointed in you not calling Manitas Womanitas post surgery

The french director looks and speaks exactly like a parody of a french director in a sketch. How is that even possible? He just lacks a moustache.

The filmmakers are just taking ‘Grand Theft Auto’s’ idea of getting a fresh coat of paint on your car to clear your star rating to the next level.

This director sounds so violently French that I simultaneously hate his guts and love him for validating the elitist Parisian stereotype.

"How do you create such wonderfully progressive movies?"
"I think of a person. Then, I remove all sanity and accountability."

27:00 imagine your friend takes interrest in your book, but instead of adapting your book, he takes one obscure character and make a completely new thing, that is shit. And then mentions you in an interview.

I would be livid.

Evidence AI is not yet stealing writers' jobs, because no computer yet has the organic process to create this level of infectious faecal slurry.

"The French president held a press conference to surrender to Mexico; however, nobody showed up because it was nap time."

Actually made me laugh for solid 5 minutes.
Truly a French president moment

This review has made me bust out laughing twice. First with “Joanna Sacrableau;” second with the immortal line “As we know, the Nazi Party was founded in film criticism, free speech, and laughter” 😂
