The shot of simon listening to mark describe this film was priceless 👌

This film is crazy! Absolute good times, fast pacing, wild stuff happening, great 80’s music, top comedy, no grand plot. Loved it

Simon always looks so exhausted by Mark.

4:34 - 5:32 the greatest 58 seconds of this channel’s history

Why does the camera linger on Simon for so long looking bored whilst Mark is talking, is he OK?

working title was: Hey, I'm playing ping-pong ovah hee"

This is perfect. Thank you Mark. “I didn’t love it” is where I landed. I’ve been trying to understand the mania around this film.

'so he's named after a ball' 🤣🤣

Mark's review alone is exhausting, so God knows what the film will feel like!

I really enjoyed this. It’s intense but in a good way. Thought timothee chalamet was really good

Quite frustrating how little of this review is a review. Very thorough description of what the film “is” with a note tacked on at the end that Kermode “didn’t love it”. Having not yet seen the film, I’d be interested to hear an explanation of why this didn’t work in the way uncut gems did. Hopefully it’ll make more sense when I go see it

The take on Lopatin's score is so good. Couldn't agree more.

What good times.

I mostly agree with Mark - it’s a good film overall. Great performances in what is a fast-paced, chaotic and exhausting ride. There’s a lot going on but worth going with it. Excellent soundtrack.

Went to see this film today 😔. Loved it!

The "poster" scene reminds me of Wong Kar-wai

Marty Supreme Is In Cinemas From 26th December 2025

Does Simon always look this exhausted?! Hope you’re alright mate! 😅

I also felt that it was good but not great. There are strong performances across the board but I actually wanted to see Josh Safdie push himself a bit more. Marty Supreme is very similar to Uncut Gems in my view and yet I found the story, characters and even the sports drama to be more interesting in that film. I'm excited to see what he does next - Dee

Looking forward to a Hamnet review soon! :D
