Here's how I store mines. I let them get to the stage of ripeness I want them, then I put the entire plantain (in the skin) into a freezer bag or plastic bag then I freeze them. When I am ready to use them, I take them from the freezer and thaw for a15 - 20 minutes then I slice and fry. They come out of the freezer just as u put them in and they thaw well. Try it!

Always wash your plantains before peeling. So that you won't transfer dirts and germs from the plantain peels to the plantain flesh

Thank you for sharing your video about plantains. This is so perfectly timing as we're looking for ways to store them. Very useful and great for travel. It looks so fresh even after freezing them. 😊

You can also fry the ripe plantain, put in the zip lock , store in the freezer and warm in the air fryer when you want to eat it.❤❤

You guys, you can even freeze the fried plantains. I discovered that by mistake . Popped it in the air fryer and it was good as new.

Or you can just fry your plantain before freezing. That's what i now do. When you want to eat it, bring it out before hand, let it thaw, microwave it, and voila, freshly fried-looking and tasting plantain. I no longer freeze before frying. It's a 50-50 chance whether it will come out still edible or just turn to mush when fried. Frying first before freezing, 100% guarantee you get what you put in.

This method for freezing plantains is honestly impressive — the parchment paper trick makes such a big difference! I love how each slice stays separate so you can fry them straight from frozen. It’s so convenient for anyone who buys plantains in bulk. Have you ever tried air-frying them from frozen too?

I have a lot of excess plantains that I did not know what to do with it. Thank you for this information. I am doing this method right now.

Thanks Claudy 👍🏻❤️

Wow, thank you for this tip. I usually just fry all , eat some and the rest stay in the refrigerator and go bad. I am going to try this next time I see a lot of plantains.
