I absolutely understood the difference between Poof and Foop.

LOVE your clothesline of fabric all arranged visually yet not taking up all the floor space - such a clever and helpful idea

Make a patchwork shirt for Matt with extra fabric. You two would look so cute!! 👍🏻

more "shallow" scallops are definitely the way to go, but also for added structure and for bigger scallops, it-s great to interface them, too 💪

I totally understand the frustration with the wrinkles but I think it also gives the dress a more seersucker look which to me makes it feel even more springy.

10:04 “Trust me, I’m a sound engineer, I can make loud noise from a piece of paper” 😂😂

If I may say, you look like you're a main character in a long-running children's book series, one of those that start light and magical and just go deeper and more complex with each book.

I love the pastel rainbow! On camera, the print looks almost like the colours were added by embroidering onto white fabric, which helps blend the quilting stitches. I also love scallop hems - they make any skirt look like a flower. (I agree that shallower scallops around the top would be smoother.) Quilting the shell to the lining is a practical touch that comes out looking fun and decorative where it can be seen at all. It absolutely looks like an Easter dress!

"These are all the pretty colors" then proceeds to name the entire rainbow! 🤣🤣🤣 Your crack me up Charlie, and I couldn't agree more!

I really love this dress!  I think your embroidery “top stitching” was such a good idea; it made your lining and outer shell much more cohesive and play together nicely.  Such a good job, Charlie!

Hey... just a bit of random knowledge about ribbon. Grossgrain and Petersham are different. For stays and millinery most people use petersham. This is what is used in the video. Petersham has loops along the long edges (salvage?) And grossgrain is straight... ok, I loved your dress! Great video!

The prettiest wee rainbow flower the world did ever see!!! ADORE how this dress came out!!!

If you do take up drawing, tip, keep MULTIPLE sketchbooks so you have multiple sizes available to you… I recommend having at least ONE sketchbook that’s travel sized so you can take it with you! Rain is such a relaxing sound ⛈️

I love the segment of you talking with the sewn on cups…😂 (made me giggle)

I liked seeing the process and hearing the review which reminded me of ye olden days of the stitchery. This dress is indeed joyful and I enjoyed watching you make it. Thank you for the video!

I personally like the lining fabric even more than the outer! Those mushrooms are adorable!

Lol when you started I had flashback to algebra.  Rise over the run equals the slope.   Never thought I'd be applying it to a dress.  😂

"Sudsing up from the subconscious" is definitely a line I identity with.

I was thinking of you while making a dress for an extended family thanksgiving get-together. After picking which pattern i wanted to use, i horrifyingly discovered i was missing the back panels! No idea where they could be. Didnt want to wait the time to get a new pattern shipped (no where in town has a good selection of plus size patterns/pattern is a few years old so might not be in active rotation anymore), so i found a bodice back that matched well enough and drafted the skirt panels. With a little fudging at neck/armhole, and a couple of darts to fit it better, i now have a wonderfully cute and personalized dress

I love you so much!  You are the epitome of “read it, never heard it out loud”…

grosgrain = grow-grain

I pronounced asparagus as “ass-per-grass” before I ever heard it… so this spoke to my heart ❤
