My Ado Reactions Playlist! https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLjpnXxxcRZ9gxVsFDvAaF1KQ1axFKeDnG&feature=shared

ADO doesnt really write her own songs. what happens is a bunch of different producers make songs and send them to her. she picks whichever ones she likes the most, and turns them into full releases. She is completely unrestricted on HOW she sings the song, just gets a general demo reel on how it was written to flow, and she puts her ADO magic on them and turns them into gems with her crazy vocal flips and techniques. This is also why she releases songs so frequently (usually one or 2 a month). She is the biggest artist in Japan right now, so everyone who makes music wants ADO to sing their song. she has so many to choose from, puts the finishing flairs on it in the recording studio, gets it mixed together, and ships it.

The moment I realized the feathers is actually one of the elf eyes, and the elt watched the girl grow up while the elf is lockup make me feels something broo 😭

Ado + any genre = Banger🔥

The elf has watched the girl's life through peacock feathers. The sad girl put the feather in a drawer. Still, he could not forget the mistake of taking away his feathers, and when he became old he tried to return them. The elf didn't care about that, but he did care about it until the girl became an old woman, and finally he rejuvenated her and smiled.

Ado's approach to singing is akin to an actor. There's a reason why her music videos always feature one or more characters. The vocal techniques she chooses to use are how she interprets the lyrics into the characters she's playing. That's why she always has so much going on vocally in her singing.

0:10 This song is not written by Ado! Ado only wrote one song so far. This is written by Teniwoha, this is the third time he work with Ado, he’s also the only person so far who had wrote more than 2 songs for her

So, this is what i thought about the story based on the ilustration..

The story begins with a girl running around the city, with her music instrument, it shows me like she was playing around the city as child with her hobby like any other child. And then she accidentally saw something shining from a room or something like a prison.. She wondered what that place is, so she was curious and want to find out. At first she didn't know what the thing inside the room is, she try to touch it, and it was like a bird feather, and try to pick one of the feather. Feeling that its feather has been picked by someone, the creature we considered an elf is awaken and try to look at who is it?
That little girl was shocked beyond words when she saw what the Creature really is, as a little girl, the elf is looks horrible and it makes her frightened, so she ran back home as fast as she can without realizing that she brings the feather she picked before. So she kept it as a memento / memorial things in her room. Little did she knows that the feather is actually some kind of a camera from the eye of the elf, so she can see the outside world from the feather. Because she had been prisoned for along time so she didnt know what the outside world looks like. And the time past on and on untill that little girl became a Teenage, a mature woman or adult person. The feather kept her reminds her of the elf and it makes her regret that she leaves her in that prison alone. But she can not do anything about it, and she was too affraid to comeback. So later on, she decided to kept the feather inside the box, and that makes the elf unable to see anything from the feather.
This elf was live in a very long time period, untill that little girl became an old person. The elf saw everything, every sadness, every joy, that the girl going trough her life.. And after a while, the authorities decided to moves the elf to somewhere else, from the chain on the elf wrist we can assume that the elf is considered something dangerous and so they kept him/her in the prison for along time and decided to move him away for unknown reason. The little girl who is now an old person heard the news and run to the elf, she wants to say something atleast to say sorry that she left her alone and take the feather. She wants to return the feather to the elf and say sorry. The elf heard the sounds of her calling and looks back, she recognize the voice and she knows who she is, because the elf always see trough the feather. And the elf already forgave her long time ago, and with her power she can makes the old woman changed to be youth again, as a reward for her, and also as a blessing, for letting the elf see the outside world all this time trough the feather.. And the elf continue to leave..

The rest is for you guys to interpret yourself 😅

Edit : i get confused wether the elf is he or she, coz i dont know the gender..

Dance, no matter who laughs at you
Like a branch shaking off the light snow
Cry out, scream from the depths of your heart
Let it echo, "I was truly here"

This song is the theme song for a new TV-drama "Who saw the peacock dance in the jungle?"  This crime thriller stars Suzu Hirose, who plays a daughter whose father is a former police officer who was killed on Christmas Eve and tries to get to the bottom of the truth using a letter left by her father. The deeper she gets into the criminal underworld, the more mysteries appear... Netflix will stream from January 24

There were times when she thought about quitting her activities because no one recognized her singing. However, she was able to continue because there were singers and vocaloids active on the other side of the small screen of the DS. She was inspired by that world and was able to continue her activities.

she is telling story with a single music!

To me this song is a masterpiece, that can be interpreted in many different ways:
1) From the Visual POV: it's a story about gaining a connection between young girl and Peackock Elf, loosing this connection, when girl became adult and reunion, when a girl achieved an old age. Despite that Peackocky Elf recognized a girl and greeted her with a smile.
2) From the lyrical POV: the meaning of this song is way more profound. All, because of those 2 lines: "It was a  millenium of homesickness. Even after counting the infinate.". It was a message from "a God that was locked up by bad people, through lies, manipulations and misunderstandings." Sounds very much like the events that happen before the Crucifixion of Jesus Christ.
I would love to see what You think about my interpretation of this song. Great reaction and I'm waiting for more Ado!😃

Seen people mention the producer Teniwoha.
It's worth noting that most of these producers are independent Vocaloid (vocal synth software) producers who create music of their own, not producers in the normal sense that assist bands/singers with the production side of music. She receives a mostly finished song in the producer's style, it's how she has such genre variety. Punk, J-pop, ballads, EDM, Pop-Rock, Jazz fusion....

Not sure how much you know about the Vocaloid scene, but if you continue going down the Ado rabbit hole you'll need to learn about it eventually because it's such an important component to her music. It's also important to her, as she sees herself as an ambassador for Vocaloid music. Ado has been obsessed with Vocaloid since she was 6 years old. Extremely odd musical background.

The art is by Numata Zombie. She has worked with Ado a few times before - including before her debut, did the MV for her punk-rock feature "Tokyo Cannibalism".

YAY I LOVE ADO

I LOVE that note at 6:10 - Its so pure and piercing out of nowhere!

Ado is one of the few singers on whose recordings I can hear her inhaling air

I'm sure someone probably already said this, but at 3:38 the hand wasn't getting older. It's a bird-talon kind of hand, we were just seeing her lower and turn her hand since she was sad she failed to pat the girl on the head before she could run.

Fun little detail: That break at 6:11 is mimicking the call of a peacock :)
