It’s not just the lyrics that made him cry. It’s the person he was thinking about when he listened to the song. 😢

My kids lost their mother to drugs and everyday I pray that my love is enough for them knowing I can never fix their hearts and the pain they feel missing her. God bless everyone who is going through anything rough in their lives.

One of my favorite quotes:

"It takes a man to hold back his tears but it takes an even bigger man to cry"

The saddest thing about this song is the end when he crys an talks to himself as if he is talking to her, he told everyone to leave the studio so he can finish that one part

“I hate the way I remember you”

Damn

“ i got a picture in my room and it kills me, but i don’t need a picture of my mom i need the real thing” that shit hit harder than it was supposed to

Are u crying? That means u are a strong man and so secure

At the end when it sounds like he's crying when he's talking, he's actually crying and had everyone leave the studio for that part

“I don’t need a picture of my mom, I need the real thing” wow, it hurts your heart.

NF a grown man but inside still a child with a broken heart...😢

This a real man right here...ain’t afraid to show he got feelings too 🙏

This man wrote these lyrics straight from the depths of his heart and soul. Such a strong story to tell.

The fact that he said that he had it easy because his grandmother took him in...says so much about him. First video ive seen by him and he is a very strong man, not only because he should raw emotion, but because he decided to sit and tell us part of his story.. Im proud of him.

After:😢

Nf is one of the most underrated rappers out there, his songs are so deep and yet creative, each song has a meaning !

Bruh no cap I swear it feels like he just rapped my whole life story and like he knows me personally. Real talk bruh. When I was 12 I attempted suicide. I took 90 tylenol PM and went to bed not expecting to wake up and I didn't leave a note for anyone. I woke up around 4 hours later and couldn't feel me legs, I was tingling and numb all over and was ice cold. My finger nails had turned purple and I felt stiff all over. Did I die that night? I'm not totally sure but I didn't see heaven or hell from what I remember. I couldn't stand up or walk, I was severely dehydrated and couldn't eat or drink anything and hold it down. I was deathly sick for roughly 2 weeks. Also keep in mind I was only 12 years old, didn't go to the hospital or any doctors for the overdose and my family didn't even know why I was so sick until I told them 8 years later. I know for a fact that God brought me through that and preserved my life. From the overdose research I've done I have found that not even a quarter of the amount that I took that night would have indefinitely killed me. Then 8 months after that happened I found my father dead from a pill overdose on easter morning 2008, he was a severe pill addict. He was dead for almost a whole day and night when I found him which traumatized me to the point of having PTSD. He was in really bad shape and decomposing when I found him. He was very abusive but I still loved my dad. I was 13, 2 months from turning 14 when it happened. Even worse 3 months later my mother gave me up for adoption because I reminded her to much of my dad. I could never settle down anywhere so I jumped all over the state in group homes, foster homes, mental hospitals, and locked down behavioral facilities. I ended up living a short lived life of crime and did a little over 5 years in prison and 5 years of probation for several counts of felony larceny when I was 17, (I was charged as an adult). I used to steal to support my bad habits, I was strung out on pills, alcohol, and pot. Now I am a new man in Christ Jesus and wouldn't go back to the way things were for anything this world has to offer. I am so grateful that Jesus saw fit to give me another day of life and many more after that. I'm now 26 with a wife and kids and am blessed to have a beautiful family of my own. Sadly I didn't sincerely come to Christ until a few years ago but I can see his fingerprints all over my life. I have a clean bill of health and give all of the credit to God in whom my healing comes from. So long story short I'm bragging on God for being so, mighty yet so merciful all at once. Now when it comes to the things of God I'll rep him and all he stands for until I take my last breath with all my strength or until Jesus returns, whatever comes first. Praise God.

I'm a single, full time dad to a 16 year old boy and this song hit home so hard because this is what my son is going through with his mom.

I feel like I lost something that I never had...WOW that was deep I’m crying

This saved my life and saved my daughter from having to feel that pain. I still have time to change. So grateful it's not too late.

My kids showed me this after their mother abandoned us, we had 5 children together and I was alone to raise them with no one to lean on, this song broke me 3 years ago. My son was crying when he played it, I still remember how his hands where shaking as he it play.
