Rolling Stone published a pretty nasty and extremely biased article about NF's "The Search". The writer is a huge fan of Chance the Rapper and was pissed that NF took the #1 spot over Chance. This song is Nate's "response" to said article.(Nate is so clever, “pay your dues” is a Rolling Stones song, he doesn’t write anything without purpose), which the whole mixtape seems to be. As at the start of the song, “clouds” refers to the article calling him a one-trick pony, which the whole mixtape is showing off different skills, flows, etc., proving them wrong and that they know nothing about him.

Ballon’s = burdens filled with doubts.
Dark cloths represent his state of mind in a dark place depressing, anxiety etc.
White cloths represents people with Hope as we confirm later on his next Album Hope.

Fame called back in “No Name” a previous single and said he would get back to him when he makes Album 4 which is the Search Album. He called him back and sent him this song “Leave me alone” as He doesn’t want fame.

It's about time for him to drop another album or SOMETHING!   It's been a minute! 😏

In The Search, he pointed to his side (at the balloons) and referred to them as his burdens.  The lady on the swing in The Search had 3 balloons and it was a representation of his mom and she was holding 3 balloons representing her 3 kids.

As a guy thats followed NF since his Mansion album this is why its ao important do go in order with the songs. He builds the world that you see in this video so you know what your watching when it comes out. Its one of the best thing about him is hes writing a story and building a world over multiple albums.

The ballons are his burdens. He is scared to let them go because like his fear they have molded him to be what he is now. Its a pretty common fear letting the past go and trying to move on and step away from what you've always known.

The mask that he paints on his face is he introduces in his 2nd album Therapy Session. Its a reflection of how people are made to feel like they should just put on a happy face and not be vulnerable.  That cart he is pushing started in his 3rd album. He put out a song called Outcast where he is in a cage because he puts himself there because hes scared of stepping out of it. Its just being an introverted person and scared to step outside what youve known. The shopping cart is a cage he takes on the road which is why he is getting pushed in it.

The people are going in in this video and coming out in white clothes because theyve decided to take the steps to move forward and let the bad memory's and burdens go. He is in black because he hasnt decided to let his burdens and doubts go but what we get to see is his journey pushing through recovery in one of the most artistic ways ive ever seen.

He was handling it to the light good part of him.

He’s battling himself, his self doubt and thoughts. Best way to explain is Dark Vs light or who he wants to be is fighting who he is.
