Regardless on any opinions on Super Circuit as a game, you do have to respect it for realizing the fullest potential that’s possible for a 2D Mario Kart game

Yeah the ability to pick only one track to play in a VS mode session should really be a thing in future games

I am so happy to see my favorite Mario Kart Youtuber talking about the most underapreciated MK ever

Tbh GBA rainbow road has the best potential for a GBA remake EVER.
Seeing remakes like cheese land and snow land, seeing what Nintendo could do with Rainbow Road is awesome. Really hope we see it at the end of the lightning cup in Mario Kart 9

Correction: Super Circuit isn't the only Mario Kart game with a Random Option in their Character Selection Screen, because Double Dash actually had that feature too (albeit by pressing L+R buttons rather than selecting an Item Box).

The skyboxes in this game are just kingly!

15:29 Tracks I would have in this mode instead:
-Peach Circuit (the player will be allowed to learn the controls of the game with this track)
-Cheese Land (introduction to the more wacky themes of this game)
-Sky Garden (introduction to all the shortcut potential)
-Bowser Castle 2 (introduction to the gimmick of having a Bowser Castle at the end of most cups)

7:36 Mini turbo actually is in this game! You need to hold a drift and also have the held drift be at around a 90 degree angle without adjusting and when your character goes neutral release! (It’s really hard)

I also kind of love the music in this game, despite it’s compression, it breaks through that with the catchy melodies and at times beautiful instruments, Stuff like Ribbon Road’s music is phenomenal and I wish it kept that vibe for the MK8 Version instead of a surfy remix.

While I wouldn't go as far as calling it one of my absolute favorites in the series, it's definitely the most overlooked and underrated one in my opinion. I like how this game uses its limitations to its advantage and gets creative! This especially shines in the new tracks like Cheese Land, Sunset Wilds, Sky Garden and Ribbon Road just to name a few since the game is forced to make flat tracks but actually gets creative and gives them really unique themes and track designs.

Crazy how you said “about a month ago” even though it was exactly a month ago

14:11 I’M ON TV!! (The Harmony icon from Splatoon 3)

Super Circuit was a game that I ultimately despised before, but years later, I happen to enjoy it quite a ton. It may not be my favorite game in the series, but it’s one I can definitely respect a ton for.

Tracks from Super Circuit that I want to see in a future Mario Kart game with a MK8-style overhaul:

-Peach Circuit (could use more layout gimmicks)
-Cheese Land (bring back the moon theme!)
-Luigi Circuit (imagine if there was a cannon that could take us to the Luigi Blimp!)
-Sky Garden (GIVE US OUR TRUE SG LAYOUT BACK!!!)
-Cheep Cheep Island
-Sunset Wilds (with true elevation changes and the return of the sunset, it could be a banger!)
-Yoshi Desert (imagine a section in a city in the oasis!)
-Lakeside Park (that could have varied and fun track design!)
-Broken Pier
-Bowser Castle 4 (THAT LAYOUT)
-Rainbow Road (imagine this with a MK8-style glow-up with, say, a section in a giant asteroid!)

I'm pretty burned out, but I wanted to upload at least one more video before I head to vacation! For that reason, I apologize in advance if this video isn't on quite the same quality, but hopefully you'll all enjoy it as much as my other videos!

What is your opinion on Mario Kart: Super Circuit though? Let me know down below!

I love this game! I’m happy to hear other people enjoyed it too.

Super Circuit has always been my favorite. I'm glad people are realizing it's worth with the BCP and stuff

This is a very fun Mario Kart Game to me, There is a lot of creativity with it and a lot of stuff for a flat racing game, It has some really bad maps like Broken Pier, But Stuff like Ribbon Road, Bowser Castle 4 and Especially Sky Garden are amazing. The game also looks beautiful for a 2D Pixel Game and it controls surprisingly well too.

Super Circuit had some really great tracks! With only one track from this game left to come back in the MK8D BCP DLC, I can’t wait to see which one we get. Personally hoping for Sunset Wilds, as I love the sunsetting theme on each lap and I would love to see that in 3D

My first ever video game! I have so many memories playing this game as a kid!

Why Albert Boris’ channel is underrated: Albert Boris has it.
