The guys with the loudest key noise when they walk are always the most knowledgeable at their job.

US Marine Plankowner of USS WISCONSIN BB-64 here. I was Sergeant of the Guard, serving from June 1988-June 1990. I visited last summer will be coming up again this year. I couldn't believe my name is still on the TO&E Boards in the Marine Spaces. What an honor it was to serve on such a historical ship.....

Some one get that guy a glass of water.  lol

i was surprised to see my old department head Kevin Pendergast as a curator and guide for our old ship. Fantastic job commander good to see again.

Can you imagine how much of piping, wiring, nuts and bolts, doors, lights, vents, stairs, ect. had to be installed while the ship was being made. WOW

As a Wisconsin resident, I am proud of this ship and all who served on her.

After watching so many of the older variant submarine tours i cant get over all the space!

I saw this ship soon after it arrived in Norfolk on a field trip. The cameras don't do it justice. It is a MASSIVE ship

I got engaged under gun 2 of Turret 1 on June 12, 2025. Never going to forget that visit.

my uncle jim served on the wisconsin in ww 2, i remember all his stories ! wow !

Having performed on the Wisky with the Hampton Roads Metro Band several times was an honor and so fun...Awesome ship....

I was on BB-64 as a Marine during the Gulf War.  I spent many hours on the deck, bridge, and at the 5" gun mount

The thing about all of the Iowa class battleships is they don’t really have that many years of combat time on them. They have been mothballed or now museums for most of their time.  But the time for battleships has past. These were huge capital investments when they were built just as the nuclear aircraft carriers are today.

It is awesome that all four are museum ships.  I was aboard the Iowa in June.  They all look in great shape.

The battleship New Jersey has a whole YouTube page all about the ship, if you’re interested

Dang! That's real neat.
Did I say it right?
I was born, grew up, & live in Fremantle, Western Australia overlooking the harbour.
I can see the place where the U.S. submarines used to tie up during WW2, just 300 yards away. It is now occupied by the harbour tugs.
When BB63, the mighty Miss came to visit, they parked it right outside my home, & what a spectacular sight it made.
Thank you so much for this visual tour of the USS Wisconsin.

Mr Pendergast, Thanks for your service!

The Battleship Wisconsin is a great tour experience, I paid for a special tour with a guide that was fantastic!

Boy  look at kevins face
That is the face of a fighting man if i was to hazard a quess.

That dude could stare paint into backing away slowly.

This ship was put to sea in the early 40's. Today, it's STILL impressive as hell. Back then... imagine coming up against this hulk. Being a sailor, back then... I'd be thinking... "Thank God I'm on our side!"
