Can’t wait to see her, beautiful ship and the work the boys down there have done is amazing.

I always look forward to seeing your next update. Thank you Travis for all your hard work and passionate diligence you put into making this project happen. I know it's got to be tiring for you some days but without you it would still be sinking in the mud in Sanjacinto. Thank you

Thank you Travis, glad you're feeling better.

Looking really nice and everyone is doing a great job 👏 👍

You look and sound better Travis. Keep getting well.
The deck is progressing satisfactory. How many coats of Deck Blue will be applied?
Having a blue ship is prettier than a gray ship, imho.

Hi Travis, always good to see the progress the old lady is making.

Thank You to everyone involved 👍👍🇺🇸🇺🇸

The blue deck looks amazing

Cant wait to bring my kids here.  I was there one time for a field trip in elementary school back in the 80s lol.

I hope I'm able to go see it one day.

In the fire sprinkler business, we used to say a little OCD goes a LOOONG way with a system designer... Maybe museum directors too...? Thank you! Man! that outdoor shot after sundown. History was coming at me through the screen.

WOW! Thank you!

I have been watching various YouTube channels about the Battleship Texss over many years. It is heartbreaking to see how bad the Battleship got. I'm glad people are fixing her up. Fantastic work by everyone.

totally respect your carpenters for not wanting to be on video, got no issue with it at all, but perhaps a nice still of them at some point, a group shot just for the archives with each person named and their job - they are now part of Texas's history, correcting previous castonians errors

i still love to know the thinking behind the concrete on the deck, i mean i get why it was put down, leveling and so on, but its a real weird choice considering any future cracking, water ingress etc as we have now seen the damage, let that be a lesson to any numpty thinking to cover a deck in concrete, perhaps a nice glittery finish like epoxy, imagine the cost of that hehe - i wonder if that concrete was meant to have a mix of silicon is it, like what we use in bathrooms - wonder if they are still alive, or been shot for what they did to Texas, have them keel hauled hehe

nice to see some other projects going on Travis, it must be like night and day wondering round the ship, so much pride in what you have all achieved so far, areas done and complete and painted, but i bet you open another door behind which must look such a state of disrepair, unloved, like its been under the sea for years and just shut the door again, but one day eh

i worked with a guy years ago on restoring and repainting an F4 phantom, previous painters had done bad jobs, rivets were becoming exposed and panels beginning to delaminate and exfoliate, so i systematically sanded all the rivet lines down to bare metal, treated, zinc coated and repainted, the chap i was with kept stopping and looking at the plane thinking were never going to finish it, so i said, don't look at what you think you are going to do, just do the part in front of you, then the next and the next and so on, at the end of the day stand back and see what you have achieved, it will be worth it in the end, one stp at a time, its a process that has to be done

Long leaf yellow pine is not extinct. It’s still growing strong in the North Carolinian sunshine.

I've probably commented on this before. But when I was in the 2nd grade all of the school kids in Texas were asked to help buy this ship so that it could be bought and anchored.  I remember bringing change every week to school.  Can't remember how much we collected for the ship that school year.  We were told that the school kids owned this battle ship...lol.  We were so proud helping to save this ship.  I'm 68 years old now😮😊

❤👍❤️Always Enjoy the Videos , She is Looking Magnificent ❤🤩👍😍🤩❤️

I maintained a fire plug station on my ship,  We used orange bug juice to help clean the brass nozzles and tips of the fire wands.

is it too late to ask you to put into its WW1 configuration? hahaha...thanks for all the work though. i haven't been on board since the 1970's when i was a kid. good stuff
