You want to ride the famous Passo dello stelvio with your motorcycle? I just did it for the first time!
It was part of a 4 day trip in the alps/dolomites. We approached via the Flüela pass, Ofenpass and Umbrail pass towards the Stelvio pass descent.
We were riding a BMW R1150GS from the year 2003. She has 79km on the clock and was heavily loaded with us two and lots of luggage like tent, sleepingbags etc. As a whole we probably weight around 450kg. That is quit alot of weight for 85 horsepower and 98 Nm bei 5.250 U/min.
The torgue from low rpms and low center of gravity makes it a fun ride. If you weightshift in the tight corners it is amazing to see how tight she can actually turn. I had alot of fun playing around with is and learning on the fly.
The BMW R1150Gs is a great bang for buck Motorcycle when you are interested in a big yet affordable adventure Motorcycles. You can easily get a good one for less than 5k and will be able to do most of what the newer models can do for a fraction of the price.
She is a little bit of a tractor and i love it!

Ich finde das ist einfach der beste Alpenpass. Meine beste Fahrt war mit dem Auto vor Sonnenaufgang. Das rockt!
Was den Pass angeht: Tolle Aussicht und würde bestimmt Spaß machen wenn ALLE anderen nicht da wären insbesondere die, die nicht fahren können 😂
Zum Stelvio, muss man gefahren sein, aber es gibt schönere Pässe. Danke fürs hochladen!
