I had a yellow one in 2001 to 2007 and now came back to after owning an F 800 GS from new for 18 years. I do absolutely agree with you - this is just right as a comfortable mile muncher still. Ride safely and WATGAAT.
Good video capturing your thoughts after a year with the Gs 1150, I have one which I've had for just over a year now and agree with a lot of your comments, it takes time and miles to get to understand these bikes, it has restored my love of motorcycling after a few years away and will be staying with me hopefully for many years.
I also have an R1150GS and absolutely love it. About your battery, I had the same problem. I started slower and slower until it didn't anymore. It turned out to be my starter motor, the battery was fine!!
I have a 2008 1200 GSA and still have the first battery in it! Buy a charger that makes load/unload cycles and always plug it in when you put the bike away for more than 3 days. It works!!
Do you live in Switzerland? Tell me what it's like in practice. I’ve read on various forums that dashcams are prohibited in vehicles in Switzerland, but the topic of using a GoPro on a helmet seems controversial. Is it true that you can actually get fine for using a GoPro? By the way, I’d also like to ask about flying drones. I have European drone licenses. Do you use any app to show areas where flying is allowed?
I have one just like yours, yellow in my backyard. I got it a few weeks ago, still have some work to do like brake disk change, but winter is deal time to work on a bike in the garage. :) How are you satisfied with the suspension? I have read many opposite experiences. I was thinking about maybe changing the springs on the front and rear shock with the progressive from Hyperpro.
