I went to an Irish pub in NYC on a Saturday afternoon once and everyone was eating, that would never happen in the UK

And that is what freedom is ladies 😊
And America is the country that brags about freedom…. They would know what freedom is if it hit them in the face 😂😂😂😂

The U.S. is a young country and a strain of a purer form of Protestant Calvanism still grumbles in the background.

My place of work in South Manchester was next door to a pub, 30 years ago a pretty raven haired girl served me, she served me the wrong drink, she was very apologetic, i laughed it off and drank it anyway.....30 years on (and 4 children later) we're still happily married. 😁

I walked into a bar called 'Houllihans' or something like that, in New York City. I opened my English mouth and was treated like a star.
New Yorkers get a lot of kicks from their fellows. But l loved those people.
Irish pubs ? There's probably still a few that I've not yet been to.
Anyone contemplating coming over here from North America really ought not to neglect Ireland - or Wales for that matter.
I have little experience of Scotland, but am told by many people well travelled that it's beauty is hard to exceed.

You can’t drink alcohol till you’re practically middle aged in the states, and crossing the road in the wrong place carries prison time… but you can buy an assault rifle at any newsagents, so that makes sense

Sadly now far fewer pubs than there used to be everywhere in the UK.

Meanwhile back in the US Donald Trump is trying his best to portray London as the most dangerous city in the world - all becasue of his real agenda of White Supremisists, and his racism against a Muslim Mayor of London. Trump is attempting a Far Right take over of Europe, and unlike Hitler, he's tring to do it just by lying about stuff, hoping to shift the polictical dial. London is the greatest city in the world, and one of the safest capitals in the world too. Just look at the pictures American tourists capture, just walking aorund free and easy...

The first two young American girls stood out like a sore thumb, the next couple not so much, hoorah.

One thing that “stuns” many Americans about British pub culture when they experience it for the first time is the fact that children are allowed in to the pub and that’s every age from babies to teens and everything in between. It blows their minds! Just saying.
