"This ability freezes you and slows you down, it's useless for speedruning", Years later "Well well well, look how the turn tables"

This Fire Cape Mario is Very complicated, and I am speedrunner yes (Terrible but I am)

@21:15 "Ground-breaking discovery" I see what you did there! :D

It sounds like Karl was up for 48 hours training an AI voice of himself.

As I've said many times before, if you have an idea, test it. Does the idea work? Publish it. It's possible that if I hadn't published that video in 2024, the Crystal Storage Glitch would never have been discovered, after all, Fire Cape Mario said that video was the inspiration for his research. It would probably have taken a long time for some genius like Fire Cape Mario to emerge and discover such a glitch or some other ingenious way to cross that floor and reach Sigma ahead of time legitimately. Congratulations on the excellent content and thank you for mentioning me and my channel.

we found a glitch sorta like this on GTA 5 online once to speed run the pacific standard job, the guy who maintained the leader boards said we cheated by using an exploit.. banned our new record.. then a few months later used the same glitch himself to get the record and counted his...

this wasn't even the only time he did that crap

I swear Fire Cape Mario has contributed a few times...

that player’s joy at 7:10-  i was happy for him-  that’s some childlike happiness there

Wow, you are king at padding videos.

Big respect for Fire cape Mario  🫡

Shoutout to Fire Cape Mario!

8 minutes 30 seconds into the video, he finally starts explaining it...

biggest missplay in floor is lava history.

There are so many crazy bugs and glitches that I'm sure could be used to assist with speedruns that we'll just never see because it happened to someone playing an RPG on their couch and will never see the light of day on the internet. One of the rare times someone doing something more or less just for funsies happened to record and find an absolutely massive skip.

I sure hope that they retain the old records under a brand new category as well as any percent. Something like the 12 level any percent, something like that.

These glitches are huge and awesome and cool, but at the same time it's also nice to have a different paced category that lets you see more of the game and shows off greater mastery of the game as a whole.

This shows that some times slowing down in life will get you places faster.

first glitch I've ever seen that made me think "oh shit I want to do that" so I fired up retroarch and boom, finished x2 in about 20 minutes.

I used to play Mega Man 2 on my NES as a kid. Never have I felt older than hearing that X2 came out over 30 years ago
