2 years ago i started running goldeneye largely due to your vids, fast forward to today and i'm featured in one. very surreal, cheers mate

"Time for one shot.  Which will it be, James?  The girl?  Or the mission?"

Bond actually left the train fifteen minutes ago, and is currently driving away in a stolen military vehicle through a neighboring oblast

"This....is me...."

Today I learn Karl is literally James Bond.

2 videos in a row that are just raw dramaless speedrunning♥♥♥ this is your wheelhouse man these vids are so engrossing

I’m just imagining military personnel, minding their own business, then suddenly a guy in a suit runs in, guns blazing, not even stopping while firing a machine gun, gunning down every person, door, wall, control panel and everything. No one can stop this random suited man who infiltrates, kills everyone and escapes in a single minute.

Unrelated to the video but for what it's worth from a total random, I hope you're doing well out there, Karl, best wishes to you.

Just 3 seconds faster than everyone else in the World... In 2025. This is Rayan Isran.

A Karl JOBST video with a Goldeneye discovery on Christmas day. Doesn't get much better than this.

All the best to you Karl, Merry Christmas to you and everyone watching 😊

Paradigm shifts in speed running are rare and always incredible to behold

It blow's me away and I  can't believe there's still people speedrunning this game in 2025 going to 2026. This was my first game to play on the Nintendo 64' and it was for Christmas from a gift that my biological father gave me who passed away from cancer.

I absolutely LOVED this game as a kid and it gives me joy that there's still people playing 007.

Merry Christmas to everyone!, Have a beautiful day with your famitly's🎅🏻❄️🎄🎁.

Sounds like it might be worth doing a category split when something this important to the speedrunning scene is optimized out.

The locks on train was so annoying when playing through the level normally as bond would start crouching if you moved too close and the aiming would go all over the place!

Jobst, Karl Jobst.

0:10 ahh…the good old days.

1:40 in the blink of a .... GOLDEN.... eye?

I wonder if in 100 years people will still be speed running Goldeneye 007 and finding new secrets to shave off a second 🤔

My sister spent DOZENS of tries when Goldeneye came out trying to open that damn panel in time. It wasn't until we asked our cousin to do it,  that she got to beat the level the first time 😂

Ryan Lockwood Speedrun Video is STILL one of the best videos ever created

29 years ago my 15 year old self and my friends sat in our living rooms entranced with GoldenEye.  We would have elimination matches among all of us.  We would take manilla folders and tape them to the tv so we couldn't see each other's side of the screen. I despised those locks.  Wild we didn't have to do it all along.
Also, I think the controller was amazing. Including the thumb stick.  Pretty dope we have kids nowadays enjoying this masterpiece like we did back then.
