I hate that everything gets worse in all areas

Test drove one.  It's incredibly quick, but somehow BMW made it incredibly boring.  It's a 700bhp sensory deprivation chamber.

You need to check the holes in front of the radiator for sleeping cats before each journey.

One look at that dash set-up and I would close the door and walk away.

That dashboard looks like it’s from Temu

Harry does a lot of sighing in these 12 minutes, his conflicted feelings are coming through...

2.5 tonnes to mostly move one person around

How I hate new cars now.  2.5 tons??  Just crazy.
I had an e28 M5 and it was so much fun to drive slow.  :)

M and AMG has evolved to just another checkbox on option list.

This is why pre 2000 cars are becoming increasingly popular, because they are free from excessive electronics and bureaucracy.

They're going to be a nightmare out of warranty.

Fascinating, I didn't realise they manufactured that V8 in the UK. Nice 👍

I looked at the G90 but went with a late F90, mainly because of the interior.
The G90 just feels cheap inside, not a £120k car. Plastic and led everywhere. F90 just feels more grown up and classier with much better use of leather and more physical buttons.

Finally someone says it out loud, spot on everything.

That car is crazy money, crazy power, crazy tech and crazy weight. Whilst it’s obviously great fun for a blast down the road for a few minutes it’s basically wasteful in the extreme. The M5 should have been kept as a full ICE car, cut the weight back and turn the engine up. That 2.5 tonne monster could be a 550e or a 540d hybrid for £70k less.

can you imagine how gaudy this interior is going to look in 10 years? not to mention the weight and the fact that it looks like someone tried to slam a 2/3rds  scale minivan from a lot of angles.

If only they remembered how they did a front mesh grille, like on the previous gen.

I have had 52 mpg from my 2016 Jag XE petrol Prestige. Last trip I did 514 miles on a tank. Nice to drive. Fun to drive. 54000 miles at the moment. Hate all the lights and screens on new cars, and un necessary tech and extra weight. I could go on.

I just bought a red SAAB 9-3 from 1998, one owner car. No turbo. 1100£. It has a tow bar aswell. It is slow 0 to 60, but that engine is unbreakable. Great family car, i can now buy a house or this BMW.
