If you’re still here watching this in 2026, what do you think of DOOM The Dark Ages? 🔥Do you think it holds up to DOOM standards, or did they miss the mark?

"Kill me, and this war will never end!"

Bro shouldn't have threatened the Slayer with a good time.

Imagine pissing off the Doom Slayer so much that he kills you then comes after you to Hell just to kill you again.

Gotta love when entities with the functional intelligence of a zombie take a look at the situation, and even they decide they'd rather turn and leave.

1:17 the use of “Forced onto the battlefield” here somewhat implies that most demons the slayer encounters are also afraid of him and only fight because ahzrak commands it

My favorite part of Dark Ages is when Ahzrak finally has The Slayer trapped and the Mayker is like "kill him" and Ahzrak was like "We will need something more permanent" he knew that not even death would stop him. It would just give him a cool skin

I like how Ahzrak knew the Slayer could come back from death so tried to keep him contained instead of outright killing him, only for the Slayer to kill himself and three eldritch gods and comeback anyway

Like how the game at least kept the whole point of Doom Slayer basically traumatizing hell to the point where even when he is on the battlefield, most of the demons are still scared shitless, even the prince didnt want the smoke, but he killed doom slayers dragon so he was automatically bumped up on the slayers list

Event the zombies are like: "nah man, im good"

Witch: Manages to knock the Beast back and off a cliff, denying it his glory kill

Doom Slayer: "Mech it is."

I love how the demon prince is smart enough to know you can't just kill the slayer and expect him to stay dead, but dumb enough to think he could contain a hurricane with an umbrella.

Doom is really power fantasy done right. The idea of you being a boogeyman for Hell itself is so satisfying.

"Is he good or is he evil ?"
"Let's just be happy he's on our side..."

I love all the horror tropes applied to the Slayer whenever he's in a cutscene. Cutting a door open and just walking to his target, even though in gameplay he is fast. Dragging a weapon behind him. Breaking out of containments like some horrid monster. We are seeing it from the Demon's perspective for sure.

The Doom Slayer made sure Prince Ahzrak's death wasn't a quick one, he smashed him multiple times while he screamed in pain just to send a message: do NOT touch my pets. Ever.

3:04 you know it's bad when Doomslayer has a 7 second camera panning of him, chainsawing the door

Middle Manager Hell Priest doesn't get enough love for being the one guy in hell that seems to understand all these big elaborate plans are nothing against a very angry man.

@gsm_liv8980 1 year ago

The hell priest not participating in the war himself makes him the smartest demon in this game lol. Dude at least gets to keep his life at the end

@jocosesonata 1 year ago

Ahzrak: "Kill me, and this war will never end."

Doom Slayer probably thought: "Good. I get to end it the fun way."

@mabelhqprogamer4791 1 year ago

12:35 that's not a furious roar, that's a cry for help, unfortunately for ahzrak, all it did was to reveal his location to the slayer while his subordinates abandoned him
