Grandma: back in my day we didnt have autism

Grandpa during the war:

Gets a M1911
Snake: Neat
Realizes it's master crafted
Snake: Real sh*t

Every wikipedia page on guns should have an audio file of David Hayter narrating it as Snake

His snake was solid over that 45.

the fact that he has a scantily-clad woman directly in front of him but ignores it in favour of the pistol is hilarious to me

Snake's excitement over the 1911 will never not be funny to me. The way he so quickly throws his cigar down and is like 'wait a minute, this ain't your standard run of the mill .45!'

Hearing Snake geek over the M1911 never gets old

Someone needs to have Snake’s VA do the “these are not clips these are mags” rant from Penguinz0

I bet that losing the .45 at the end of Snake Eater hurt him more than killing the Boss.

From what I recall,  the reason why he nerded out so hard over the gun was because, back then, machines weren't advanced enough to make weapons with stuff like that. Copies were also often not the best when machine made, meaning that the entire gun was essentially handcrafted from top to bottom. Which could be done, but was hella expensive, let alone finding a gunsmith skilled enough to pull it off.

Now let's see Paul Allen 45😂

“To absord the recoiæl” - snake

Snake recognized immediately that the broomhandle Mauser C96 was a Chinese copy. That was impressive. the original german pistol has a bluish dark tone instead of pure black, but it was in the middle of the night.

Snake be like :
-> Engravings? I sleep 😴
-> Mirror-polished feeding ramp? Light trigger pull? 3-dot iron sight? REAL SHIET!!! 🤯

Gun nerd at its finest 😂😅

"This is a high class weapon. It's not for shooting people."

It was literally named the Peacemaker....

Him nerding out over his 1911 hits different now that I'm old enough to dabble in custom handguns.

I like that his gun was mentioned in casual conversation and he had an 18 page PowerPoint ready to go and infodump about it. :D

I like to imagine snake gets so hyper fixated on talking about guns that enemy soldiers start taking notes like it’s a ted talk

"Pretty... good."  I say this sometimes in Rust when I get downed and the guy who domed me says "gg".

0:50 when Ocelot fell in love.
