I think it's not that most people only talk about Vol. 1, it's that we see both volumes as one movie and talk about that. When people just say "Kill Bill", they mean both movies together

Do volume 2! Do volume 2!

Waiting for Vol 2 with antici..................pation!

"If you face God, God will get cut..." is still one of the hardest lines in a tooling up montage.

The yellow and black one piece is a tribute to Bruce Lee in the film Game of Death.

Yeah, imagine hearing that last line, and having to wait a year to see the resolution.

Lol at Kiddo 👀

"Kiss kiss, bang bang" is a phrase coined by the great film critic Pauline Kael to describe her favourite kind of movies. As she put it, it's: "the briefest statement imaginable of the basic appeal of movies" - there's a fantastic mid-00s film with the same title, staring RDJ and Val Kilmer, which you should definitely check out if you're going through a meta-action phase.

my first watch was the whole bloody affair and despite the long runtime, i was never bored. i feel like the 2 parts being meshed together was more cohesive than making them 2 separate films

Ya, I think everyone just says kill bill... meaning both. ❤ Great reaction. Thank you.

as strange as it sounds, this is one of my favorite childhood movies lmaoooo 😭💛🖤

In terms of if the blood spray is an homage, it was common in 1970s Samurai films like the Lone Wolf and Cub series and Lady Snowblood, but it was first used in Akira Kurosawa’s film Sanjuro from 1962.

As for why the fights are so entertaining to watch, they were choreographed by Yuen Woo-ping who did a lot of famous Hong Kong martial arts films and Hollywood films like The Matrix.  There’s a lot of great Hong Kong choreographers and action stars to check out if you like this kind of choreography, Jackie Chan movies would be other good examples.

"Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down)" is a famous 1966 song about lost love by Cher, covered here by Nancy Sinatra.

Hope we get a reaction to volume 2!

Definitely react to volume 2. It's arguably better than volume 1, but both are great. The two are really meant to be a full movie.

You’ve probably already heard this over on Patreon, everybody go over there and show love, but I think the reason Kill Bill vol 1 is talked about so much is for the action sequences. There are fewer action sequences in volume two and much more story and dialogue. It’s great, though.

I think the answer to "where have I heard this before" is almost always gonna be tiktok or TV homages to this film, with the exception of "Ironsides" (TV Show Theme), "Nobody But Me" (60's pop hit), and I think that the "Woo Hoo" song by the 5.6.7.8's was used in a fairly major commercial shortly after the film. Quentin is a great soundtrack guy, the rest of the cues all came from his favorite cult hit 70's movies or the like.

This might just be my favourite movie, I watched it all the time with my dad when I was younger and we would recreate the scenes from the movie. This film brings a lot of good memories and I love the somewhat silly approach.

Zoë Bell was Uma Thurman action-double and she plays herlself on Death Proof because Tarantino loves her and want to show her as an actress too

A good action movie is like a good dance movie. The choreography is enthralling and adds to the story
