KILL BILL is a bloody work of ART [Volume 1 REACTION]

I was really excited to jump into another Tarantino film after watching Pulp Fiction a few months ago for the first time! No knock on Pulp Fiction because I absolutely LOVED it, but I think I loved Kill Bill even more.. There was just something so chaotically beautiful about it all and I love when movies make music their front and center. I can't wait to watch Vol 2!

NOTE: For some reason, the version I watched did not have any subtitles even after attempting to turn them on... Thanks Amazon! (I've asked for a refund lol)

For some unfortunate reason, the version I watched through Amazon (with the Moviesphere+ subscription) did not include any translations for the Japanese scenes even when I tried to turn subtitles on 😅😭 I'm realizing now after rewatching with actual subtitles that I missed so much awesome dialogue during that part, so I apologize! I've asked for a refund from Amazon since and sent them an email asking them to include proper translations but my voice will most likely be lost in the void haha. I'll be sure to have my mod give me an approved version for Volume 2!

Thank you all for watching! I love love LOVED this movie and can't wait for the next volume. See you all there!

It’s criminal what they did to you without the subtitles. Glad you enjoyed it so much!

It’s outrageous that amazon doesn’t include them subtitles

@seanski707 10 months ago

The fact you liked this much and you couldn’t even get half the dialogue says a lot.

You’ll have to rewatch a version with actual subtitles

For anybody interested, Kill Bill will be returning to theaters in a week. It's the complete film with a new 7 minute animated sequence.

Your cat is funny in the background. Like “mom, keep it down, some of us have night zoomies to do”.
That sucks about the subtitles. That’s a major detraction from your movie experience, not being able to understand what they’re saying.
The Kill Bill movies are my favorite of all time. Can’t wait to see your reaction to volume 2!

A good thing to remember is: If a movie has dialogue in a foreign language and doesn't have subtitles, STOP and try to figure out if there's something wrong with the version you're watching, rather than assume it's an artistic choice by the director.

DUDE ain’t no WAY I was literally watching kill bill reactions last night and was thinking “man I need to see kali’s reaction to this” man what a good day it is today

"It's like watching art come to life." Yes, exactly! I hope you go through his whole catalog of films. They are all unique and amazing.

RIP Shin'ichi (Sonny) Chiba. One of my favourite parts of this film is his change from affable goofiness and banter to a serious swordsmith.

Tarantino said before he even decides to make a concept to an actual movie, he listens to his vinyls and if he can't visualize a soundtrack he won't even do it. He definetly has all the say in his movies, and u can tell. The GOAT

The “old Klingon proverb” is a reference to something Khan says in “Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan”, the best “Star Trek” movie.

Now try Shogun Assassin and Lady Snowblood (the flicks that THIS one imitates).

Back in the 70&80’s movie theaters had beep sounds to indicate the snack bar was closing in 30 or 15 minutes. And Uma and Tarantino came up with Kill Bill during filming Pulp Fiction when she was talking John Travolta about Fox Force Five. Uma and Quentin wrote the story that’s why you see "Based on the short story 'The Bride' by Q & U" at the end.

25:55 Sonny Chiba... Absolute legend!

What an amazing soundtrack, especially when she's in Okinawa and Tokyo

What I liked about Kill Bill is that it’s like a live action comic book or manga . It’s not based on a comic but it has all of the story elements and style of a graphic novel

"I can't wait to see her in another role." Yeah, that's how Tarantino felt. My understanding is they originally talked about doing a Fox Force Five movie together and Uma had a lot of input into this one. The idea evolved over time, eventually into Kill BIll. You can still see that inspiration in it with the group of deadly female warriors. Also draws from stuff like Charlie's Angels and other film genres. Tarantino has a way of taking a genre and really going unique places with it.

One of my all time favorites! Uma’s yellow outfit is a tribute to Bruce Lee. He wore it in game of Death. The fight in the garden is a tribute to The Songbird and the Samurai. I love the those touches in his movies.
