Poor Wendy. She was a lovely person but terribly unlucky in love.

I had such the biggest crush on her when i was a small kid in 70’s Uk. It saddens me that nearly all of them are gone now.  Life was so great back then.

I loved Wendy, terribly underrated actress . She pops up in all sorts of old films and is unmistakable with her cockney accent, my father was from Stepney. Amazed to find she was born in Middlesbrough.

I absolutely adore her. I used to watch her with my parents when she was on Are you being served. Im 58 and was raised in the U.S. by Dutch WWII surviving Imagrants. Dad was 50 when I was born. He loved British comedy especially with pretty birds like her. She was very smart charming and witty. I still look for her performances when I can.
