I never saw Madoka, but I did hear one thing, that makes it even more screwed up if true:
Every witch was once a magical girl, and eventually every magical girl becomes a witch when they give into despair.
That means the witch that ate the mentor was once a magical girl as well, same for every other witch they encounter, meaning every character has the potential to become a monster.

All I learned from this video, is to stop at episode 5 cuz 6 is lurking around the corner…

3:25 another F'd up moment with the scene is when Nina told Edward to stop and approached her dad and asked if he was hurt. She was too innocent

That fucking Re Zero episode when it ended and the credits rolled my jaw literally was hanging through it all.

just want to say, THANK YOU for lowering the volume disparity during the ad segment. its still too much of a jump, but my ears are no longer bleeding like your videos from a year+ ago

2:58 Yeah, the situation with Nina and Alexander being fused into a ungodly abomination, becomes so much worse when literally a few episodes later Ed and Al stumble onto Greed. (Well, Greed stumbles on to them would be more accurate bu I digress...) Greed has multiple perfectly fused and funtioning Chimeras working under him. Even a guy who is a perfectly walking, talking, and normal looking guy who is a human/dog hybrid. These human and animal hybrids are shown to be able to willingly switch between their normal "human" appearance and their animalistic forms. (Usually a human like body with varying degrees of their body transformed into the animal they're fused with.)  Even after the chimeras under Greed are killed off, it's not longer after that more of them pop up. These chimeras start out working for Father/Kimbly but once informed what their "leaders" have planned for their country they join Ed and Al's side. We see these perfectly fused chimeras all the way up until the end of the show. Meaning that the Amestris government ALREADY KNEW how to create perfectly fused  chimeras. Which makes Shou Tucker's horribly flawed experimentation on his daughter, wife and 2 family pets, COMPLETELY POINTLESS!!!  Yeah episode 4 messed me up, but the episodes that showed Greed and his fused chimera underlings, only a few episodes later, made what Tucker did to his family so much worse.

I would say that it was completely different for Eric compared to the doctor because the doctor knowingly did what he did despite previous knowledge of how the ritual would turn out while Eric and alphonse were kids messing with forces beyond their comprehension.

Full metal alchemist was wild

I remember when me and my brother discovered FMA, we were HOOKED! When Tucker did what he did we were angryer than a hornets nest.

i swear to bloody god, if the whole eneriety of made in abyss isn't in there!!! i jest, but final episode of S01 is neatly burned into my mind.

starting off with FMA episode 5 is straight to the emotional trauma.

akame ga kill should be here with the chelsea scene

Regarding the one in Ranking of Kings......
Ainz: Hold my beer

When it comes to dark anime Black Lagoon has one of if not the darkest arc in anime. It's the third update of season two, the vampire twins arc. When you learn about the true historical event, Romania's Lost Children, which our twins back story is from is honestly so atrocious that it couldn't be made up. It's even worse if you know more about the event. I've seen so many people comment that they had to take a break from the show for a bit after that arc. What makes this so much worse than everything else is that the awful psychological issues the twins have and their actions are real issues that kids developed because of the atrocious stuff that they were put through. And the tens back story for the most part actually happened to kids.

Does anyone know why Gintama did a hard 180 into a full "WTF was the author thinking?"

Man if you guys thought episode 15 of 34:03 RE zero was dark. Your in for a wild ride that brought me to the brink of insanity. The deaths are gruesome the pain is so real. The trauma is wild and honestly just constantly makes you feel for him. Season 4 has been the worst series of deaths by far. Highly suggest it if you like dark anime. Their are alot of tender moments tand they give you a break for like 4 episodes. then they wham you again. The tragedies pay off till they stop paying off.

Takopis original sin should have made this list

12:27 yo this shit HITS not a show id ever watch at 1st glance but holy, that was good. also that final wish was made in vain idc how happy those vibes are. super sad
