Features You want to Know.

In this video, I will share 10 Secrets - or Cool Features - about the Toyota Yaris Cross with you. At least they have been secrets for me, because they are features that I have only discovered now within the last few months. Why I have not discovered them before, I will tell you in the video.

However, if you want to avoid missing out on all these cool features yourself, you will benefit greatly from watching my video here. Then you can enjoy all the features right away, instead of missing out on them like me.

I hope you will enjoy my video.

I have had my Toyota Yaris Cross for almost a year now and have previously made a video about my first 6 months of impressions and Pros & Cons. You can watch that video here: After 6 Months use | Review of my Toyota Y...

This is not a presentation of the car or a listing of all the technical specs and features. This is 10 specially selected features that I personally think are pretty cool and that I want to share with you.

Short info about the car:
This is the 2022 model with the 1.5 hybrid petrol engine.
It is with front wheels drive (not the AWD).

I came from an old Peugeot 207 from 2012, so my enthusiasm is off course a little biased ;-)
This is my first "modern" car.

If you have any comments or questions, please feel free to drop a comment. I will appreciate that. Also, if you find my video helpful, please consider subscribing, liking and sharing, which I would also greatly appreciate.

I have also made a video about whether you can sleep and camp in this car. You can see it here:
Toyota Yaris Cross - Can you Sleep & Camp ...

B is braking and although ads more power to the battery does not increase efficiency in hybrids but instead reduces efficiency through thermal loss and the petrol engine. B is not to be used as daily drive but only when descending downhill to use engine as brake.
Wireless charging not better than cable.

I’ve had my Yaris Cross for 5 years and have only just learned to use the adaptive cruise control. It made the round trip between North Queensland and New South Wales (about 4000 kms) much easier. Very pleased with its performance and fuel economy on long drives.

Thanks for showing us about the automatic opening and closing boot. Good to know this feature can be activated simply by waving the foot under the tail of the car too. Greetings from UK and best purrs to George the cat too.

The Orange Cat, (27:40), gives You the "11.5 secret" to help You get out of mud, sand, snow or ice: lower tire pressure (and raise it again when the "situation" passes).😇🐱

Very interesting review/outlook on the Yaris Cross. As mentioned by some I think your idea of the "B" mode is the wrong way of looking at it. The B is for "Brake" and as it has been said is for going down hill and not for long term use when normal driving for reason I will explain. When in "B" when you take your foot from the throttle you will have stronger regenerative braking, charging battery, than in normal "D" mode. The main problem using "B" mode for long term is that as you are charging your battery as soon as the battery is full the regenerative brake decreases as the electric has no place to go so stops the brake effect.

It's funny you found out about the boot space 2nd level so much later. It's actually what I made sure is possible to do before deciding to buy a Yaris Cross because for me a flat boot floor is a must-have. What I didn't like about the car is finding out just how little storage space I had for the size of this car, like in the glove box or the length of the boot, and my trim level didn't even have storage pouches on the back of the front seats.

you can also use the shield as front window sun protection...

Had my Yaris X for 12 months now, exchanged it for a normal Yaris. Nice car to drive love that it’s hybrid and love the reliability of of Toyota. But there are a few things I don’t like. The back is very small and the back doors do not open wide enough. I can’t fit my grandsons car seat, my dog and my husband in the car all at the same time. The front seat has to be pushed forward to accommodate the car seat meaning there is not enough space to get into the seat. Also there is no AC in the back, I have the mid-range spec. Using the same chassis as the normal Yaris fir the Yaris X means that everything is squashed up. I will be changing the car next year but won’t be changing it for another Yaris X.
