By the way, 95.7mpg is 2.95l/100km - for anyone in Europe!

Today's video was just a quick concept test, helped by nearly empty roads. It would be dangerous to drive so 'gently' on busier roads or busier times of day, since people would be expecting more 'zip', so I kept it short and quick. Or should that be 'slow'!! 8-)

My 303 mile (solo) economy test was at 75.7 mpg! My Fuel Efficiency Test on the T...

I have the Toyota Corolla touring sports the estate model weights about 1.5 tonnes with a boot full of bags and a full fuel tank and regularly get nearly 80 mpg on my trip from work which is about 10 miles on a mixed city and fast A roads driving, this is without really trying and keeping it in normal mode, the fuel economy of these Toyota hybrids is amazing

Thanks, a useful video. We have had our 2023 Yaris Cross Design for about 3.5 years and 35000 miles of mixed driving. Currently average about 63 mpg in that time. Our car is the 115bhp model with Conti Eco 6 tyres but usually driven in normal mode. Will switch to ECO and see over next 6 months. Thanks again. E

That’s really encouraging news regarding the mpg thats possible to achieve as i’m considering buying a Yaris cross , just need to make my mind up which version to buy.

I’m just staggered at the fuel economy of my brand new Aygo Cross GR edition

I’ve only had it for over a week, and it’s already shown over 100mpg

The Yaris Cross Hybrid can’t be far behind on fuel efficiency , same engine

Earlier this year i got 98mpg on a 38 mile trip on A roads in my Yaris cross.

I get over 100mpg on a certain trip i do over 15 miles the return journey is low 80s the screen doesn't show over 99.9mpg but the app does, my best month is 91.2 over 900 miles, don't use cruise control it uses too much fuel in stop and start traffic it's ok if nothing is on the road.

My CHR 1.8 gen 2 HEV has shown 1161 mpg on the Toyota app hybrid score info but only after 0.5 miles. Yes 1161. Plus a 109.6 mpg over 6.8 miles. I always use AC. But tank to tank my best has been 74.36 over 441 miles. I’m sure you would be able to easily beat that with your Yaris Cross. What do you keep your tyre pressures at? I have mine 2 psi over.

Please don't video yourseelf driving Steve. Not only is it evidence of illegal activity, but it's bloody dangerous - clearly not looking at the road. We all value your content - it would a shame for it to stop due to something 'unforseen'.
