This is easily the best retrospective you've done, especially loved the skits. you've truly delivered with this one. Good job 🔥🔥🔥

For Hellraiser 2 I personally loved the depiction of hell they did. Instead of the gaudy fire and brimstone hell it's just a monotonous labyrinth of hallways and rooms that stretches on forever showing that there is no escape. Even if you escape your punishment what is there other than just wandering the halls alone for all eternity. It also sort of fits the cenobites more orderly rule based existence instead if a chaotic gore realm since they're a physical extension of the leviathan.

Also for Channard I think it's implied that he's being piloted directly by the leviathan with all of the tentacles which is why he would be able to overpower the others so easily.

I dont really watch horror as its not my cup of tea for many reasons, but the effort u put into your retrospectives is unmatched. I hope one day u get the recognition u deserve!

The way I always thought about Channard was that when he exited the chamber he was Cenobite Channard. The tentacle thing that skull drills him was Leviathan taking control. I guess kind of like "Assuming direct control" in ME2. Thus giving him at least some of Leviathans power making the cenobite fight so one sided.

The effort you put into the videos is great

It wasn't just the script that scared Doug Bradley off from starring in Revelations, he was offered just $3,000 to play Pinhead and was quite rightly insulted. They also wanted him to sign an NDA just to read the script and he got fed up with being treated like shit and strung along on the promise of a bigger buget reboot that Miramax kept promising.

Finally, Ryan gets to review Hellraiser 3!!

Edit: Cannot confirm if Craig Jones’ mask from Slipknot was inspired by Pinhead. Could be a parallel.

I've never seen any of your other videos, but this is one of the best examinations of the Hellraiser mythos and production. Hats off, incredible work.

It is now my official headcanon that the Allstate guy is a Cenobite. But instead of inflicting physical torment, he fucks up your stuff and just makes you miserable. He got turned into a Cenobite after Hellseeker, Allstate commercials are part of the Hellraiser expanded universe. I mean there's no hard rule that says you HAVE to be a mutilated bondage freak to be a Cenobite, and he always has that cut on his forehead. It totally makes sense.
