I’m always cautiously optimistic of new Harvest Moon games. Interested to see how this plays.

Honestly, it looks better than quite a few other games Josh tried these past months.

Honestly, they've came a long way. I love the fact that it's a free camera farming game. It makes interacting with your crops and animals much more immersive. I'm tired of birdseye view farming games. I'm glad they've picked a lane of making an open world farming game, and as long as they give us more to do in the open world, then they'll get better. Also, this is one of the ONLY farming games where I find befriending animals worth it outside of the cuteness factor. They actually have utility which is good to see.

Glad to see we have a bit more customization too. If they give us a clothing  store and barbershop in game, they should give us more options when playing.

The layout of the first village actually doesn't look bad.

4:31 - agreed. More customization of eye type, face type, would help. Doesn't have to be crazy, just like about ten version.  Like Fantasy Life

12:32 Agreed. I don't mind 3D models OR portraits. But if you have 3D models, then they should be expressive and varying.

14:35 - I'm a bit iffy on context sensitive controls. I like having an inventory to manage alongside selecting my tools. It's about the feel.

57:48 - agreed that's nice.

1:04:10 - that's one thing I do prefer from HM to SoS. The bubble cow and other animals are too... abstract? I like them to have some shape. And the shape language in these games are more cute to me.

1:25:01 - agreed. I think we need more mechanics to in these games..like how AWL was

2:02:23 these are actual very interesting additional tidbits added to grazing. THIS is what I meant by additional systems and mechanics.

So jealous you got to play early! Looking forward to seeing more gameplay 😊

@40:50 made me laugh so much. 😂
"I think we're siblings I don't think we can fall in love"

Cames out 15th on steam October

Natsume gave us an early copy to showcase? How brave of them 😂 I would love to know what goes on in their minds

This game has its own fans who love the exploration more, as sometimes in SoS we spend most of our time in our farm, getting overwhelmed with all the farm chores😅
Even I found some SoS games are below my expectations. Been playing almost all titles except for the GBC and N64.

So when Natsume releases new title, I have to keep an open mind and try to not have any expectations at all.
Tbh, this is a decent game for now. Maybe I'll get it once it is on sale.

My hopes are never high for natsume games but they still disappoint somehow. It just looks so… lifeless. Like every harvest moon game they’ve ever made is missing a critical SOMETHING to make It all come together and they haven’t even come close to finding that missing piece. Like the graphics are pretty bad but even if they were great I still don’t think this would be fun to play because that secret sauce is still missing.

Anyways, thanks for all these showcases and reviews. I wasn’t planning on buying this game before and I’m certainly not going to now lol

Hmmm i do like the softer colors

I just can’t get over the weird slippery way the character turns when you’re moving

Im okay with them sticking with a style and building up assets overtime, im just annoyed that natsume only has harvest moon as their title and it still has a lack of assets and poorly made animations. Like, what are they doing?? BUT! I am happy that they have mobile ports! Like, PROPER mobile ports. With bluetooth controller support! Cuz once its paid for and downloaded, you have it on tablet and phone and dont need to worry about a console or PC. Its like the early days of having an ipod touch. So nice!

They can't show the wolf or bear attacking you

Wait... mist and different seasons in one place... is this Harvestealla??

A new natsume game, so does this mean sos game will come out soon too?

Since it looks like natsume is trying to rival and release games close to sos's release.

I don't know man. I feel in 2026 developers especially well established ones could do a whole lot more graphically and controls wise. The game looks clunky. Ill probably still give it a shot on sale but like pokemon i haven't been impressed with new installments of beloved franchises.

I looked it up carol is not your sibling I looked it up you can romance her I looked it up on Google and Google Chrome I even looked on the romance opinions too she can be romance too...

I just cant bring myself to play natsume harvest moon  it feels like a betrayal to the real 'Harvest Moon'

It reminds me of Pokemon Legends Arcues you die from pokemon

The constant spawning of leaves all over the place even tho there were no trees nearby was throwing me off so much, the game is as bland as ever and so is the story.

Josh’s humor and his reactions were so funny, made the stream so much more enjoyable “this guy never went outside” or “Josh 2.0” “I fell asleep standing up, just like a horse” 😂😂
