"Lower your standards" is CRAZY and so so so funny lol

"Lower your standards or ignore your husband" is SO FREAKIN FUNNY😂😂😂😂😂😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

Another wonderful life was my gateway into this series. I was somewhere between seven and ten years old, and I rented it from our local Family Video. Since you have a time limit on rented games, I decided to just.. not sleep so I could play as much as possible.  That was until Christmas that year, when I told everyone that I wanted my own copy. I still have it, and I still boot it up when I need some good ole comforting nostalgia.  My all time favorite video game, franchise.

Being able to say “no” and get an instant game over is honestly so funny to me…just look at him walking away

8:11 Natume doing "It's a not a bug, it's a feature" back in 2004

I think the chihuahua rumor may also have persisted because you actually can adopt a black cat from Romana if you befriend her.

I can forgive the translation of forgotten valley, since forget me not is a type of flower, and it ties into the long life and death story the game explores.

My only dissapointment with the SoS one is the lean into the 'balloon' animals rather then the more realistic ones, outside o the cow.

While the remake does seem the better way to play, that slow moody feeling of AWL is what made it distinct in the first place.

The rumor I always heard about AWL was about the locked black shed on the farm. It is a whole load of nothing, but I heard everything from, "it becomes a horse stable so you can free up a spot in your barn" to "it contains the corpse of your dead grandpa"

I actually really liked Gustafa when I was a kid. He's not the most attractive, but his personality made up for it.

I didn't really click with him in the remake, but I got to make my dream of marrying Muffy (Molly) true

I wish I was a harvest sprite 😩

I remember reading the mineral town booklet as a kid on how the Harvest Goddess "plays tricks" and you have to say no and thinking that it had to be a mistake they're covering up lol

Can't imagine why they dropped Natsume as a localizer. They seemed to be doing such a good job. 🤔

I love Nami's messy hair. I think it's the 90s-ness that makes my 90s brain click. I really like how in HM My Little Shop, Nami's hair gets longer, more messy and becomes a proper birds nest.

The localization for FoMT was such a botch job it's iconic. I'm not sure which I love more, "Have you ready Basil books?" or

g Rod "hing Rod Copper Fishin
For fishing.

Maybe a hot take, but I like real fish names! I did not like the kooky names like in Ooblets, for example. I like learning new things, and oftentimes I research what I learn in games after playing. The remake has blessed us with Pui! He's one of my faves! And yes, same Muffy 20:23 :_joshLol: that's me on a daily basis!

1:56 WAIT! You're telling me I could have charged up my tools in Another Wonderful Life this whole time?

Having played the original A wonderful life when it first came out, whenever a further game was set in forget me not valley, it always felt icky that Lumina was a prospective bachelorette, especially since they always use her chapter 2 model where she's like middle school age rather than her chapter 3 or later model when she's actually an adult. The fact that I'm now learning that they made her a marriage candidate before hot archeologist Flora instead of at the same time makes me feel extra icky.

This was one of my fav games growing up and im so mad that they basically did NOTHING to make the remake more interesting. Just basically slapped on fresh coat of paint and that was it
