The hardest mandatory fight in BiS has gotta be Fawful Express

I just re-played PM64 for the first time in years last month, and it occurred to me that the later game bosses all seem to have built-in HP replinishment at fixed amounts. I think they did this to essentially get around the program limitation of 99 HP, by effectively giving them >100 HP through automated HP buffs.

Slight correction for the Culex re-fight. His Meteor attack doesn't put you down to 1 HP, it does damage equal to max HP - 1. Seems like a little difference but that means that this move can and will kill you if you're not at exactly full HP... Or have something to mitigate the damage altogether.

I'd actually argue the toughest in Bowser's Inside Story is the Fawful Express since it's too small for half your attacks and it's on a VERY tight time limit

Prince Mush in the TTYD blindsided me when he himself was using danger strat damage

I’m so in love with Mario and Luigi Bowers inside story 3DS version because it easier for me than the original version

It's super easy to cheese CK with the charge jump, Power Bounce, and Bow. CK's phases are damage based, and you can literally one shot him with enough successive charges. charges. He never gets the opportunity to heal. And The Master can be cheesed with zap tap and either charge on Goombario or charge jump/power bounce - alongside smooch. Bowser's final phase, on the other hand, is substantially trickier. It's actually kind of difficult to build up enough charge to oneshot him if you didn't conserve your repel gels you earned throughout the game, and he heals way more damage than CK with a 3 turn partner ko move. I'd say final Bowser is the hardest boss of PM64. Yeah, but I don't even mess with the anti guy triple threat. I imagine good repel gel conservation, Bow, and a few power increasing badges with either power bounce or multi ounce could sort through them pretty easily, though.

Peach is honestly a pretty essential character for the Secret Giant battles in Sparks Of Hope

Her shields can be upgraded to 4 shields max and you can even upgrade them to explode and damage an enemy when they attack, just surround the boss, activate her ability, and repeat with cooldown clock

And if you have Wildclaw Master or Oozer Master, prepare for extra damage

3:26 That's even higher than the final Master fight at the Dojo!😮

What's up with the immediate Mallow slander with the Culex battle? Right beforehand you said that each crystal is weak to one element and immune to another. Mallow dunks on the Fire and Earth crystals super hard, and can't hurt the Water and Wind crystals, which Mario can exploit the weaknesses of to take down. The two of them together wipe the crystals out incredibly fast. If you have to knock points off from Mallow for the Culex fight, it's due to the simple fact that Mallow can't take hits well and Culex hits extremely hard. The crystal's weaknesses isn't a problem.

Culex's Re-Fight in the remake is even harder.

@RyouShi98 3 months ago

I never recall the crystal bits acting indenpently. In fact, he always drops them for the ice beam and later drops that for the clones

I do think that Smithy is competitive, especially if you consider that Rock Candy works well in the Culex fight. Particularly, second form Smithy can trip you up if you’re unaware about how his different forms work and what attacks work best on him.

In my opinion regarding Brothership (I've played these game like 7 times already), Glohm Sharpcask might be extremely tough, even getting over leveled is almost useless if u turn around from ur screen, and when underleveled, the first barrel attack can almost one hit a bro

Another solid video. I do have some differing opinions on a few…

SM RPG: I’d throw in Dr. Topper and Jinx in as honorable mentions behind Culex and Smithy

PM64: I personally think Kent C. Koopa and the Master’s final forms are much more difficult bosses of the game.

SPM: Surprised didn’t mention Wracktail even as a honorable mention. I think I thought he was going to be easier than he was.

BIS: Yeah Bowser X is still the worst.

TOK: Found the Ice Vellumental to be the worst. Tape was also a pain once I got behind in battle after one wrong move.

Not sure if it really counts as a boss battle, but the Mario puzzle and dragons Free challenge 5 is absolutely the most difficult thing I have ever attempted to do in a video game, I Have top tier max level characters and I STILL havent been able to get the S++ requirement to get Boomerang Luigi

In my opinion, it is harder than ANY other challenge in ANY mario game, daredevil comets and crown roads be darned

Despite loving the boomerang flower and luigi, this game has forever changed the way I see him with both the raw skill and luck required to obtain him

Water dragon origami king was the most annoying thing i ever had to deal with, i never got passed it.

5:49 when a character says invincible that is what I think as well (didn’t watched the show)

Back in the day, I did find a creative way to make bosses in Super Paper Mario harder when applicable: fighting them in non-stop 3D mode. The life drain and stagger makes for an interesting challenge, especially with Super Dimentio’s platforms.
