I like the phrase "too greedy to know how to make money".

caboose just going completely limp as pat picks him up is very in-character as an xbox

That E3 Xbox one reveal will go down as the single most destructive showcase in the history of any product ever.

when the moon kiss the sky like a big pizza pie that's an xbox

No one told me the console wars were gonna devolve into 'who can self-destruct fastest'

Dreamcast 2, your time is now. While they’re weak!

Nintendo in 2012: They are doing nothing they will die

Nintendo now: They are doing nothing. They will win

Sarah bond is just a fall guy for her bosses

The crazy thing is iPhone wasn't first. Steve Jobs just looked at Blackberry and said 'this keyboard kind of sucks'.

"All you have to do is not fuck up and you have all the money"

- Valve doing absolutely fuck all for many many years and becoming a monopolis titan.

@LetterNumber 7 months ago

IDC what happens to execs, but The Verge article that basically pinned Xbox's failures entirely on Sarah Bond was clearly a hitpiece to glaze the new AI Slop boss. Phil Spencer had been Xbox head since 2014 and the article had near zero criticism for him.

We can't even use the Underpants Gnome meme for this anymore. That at least had a start and end goal. This is just a paper with "Infinite money" written in crayon and the entire C-Suite in a K-Hole beneath it being filtered in and out by interns

@Leemmmm 7 months ago

See like. Whenever I hear companies say they're "pivoting toward AI" I always have to ask "what does that even mean." What could you possibly make with that

@SoaringLettuce 7 months ago

And the very Earth underneath you?
That's an original Xbox controller!

The press releases from the new CEO of Xbox run dangerously close to invoking that familiar aphorism "The Devil knows scripture too"

@brochebug 7 months ago

I believe Xbox is actually a featherless biped.
Ergo, I too must be an Xbox.

@SuperfieldCrUn 7 months ago

I watched the Xbox One reveal event live, I distinctly remember it. It's insane to think that, all these years later, they never really recovered.

@SoaringLettuce 7 months ago

7:10 AI is funny to me in this regard cause it's the first time I've ever felt companies directly try to convince me that I had a problem that needed solving, it's so forceful.

I had to go watch the "This is an Xbox" ad. Must have missed it when it came out a year ago. When it says "You're watching this on an Xbox" I actually let out an audible "No it isn't!". What a horrible ad lol
