The FTC just took HISTORIC action against the MLM (multi level marketing) / network marketing company, Amway, proposing a whopping $225 MILLION settlement over allegations of unfair and deceptive business practices. The evidence is INSANE!

I'm in shock that he really said people shouldn't "allow" their spouse to buy non-amway products. My partner doesn't "allow" me to do anything because I don't need their permission. Absolutely appalling that that kind of controlling behavior is being taught

I was in this garbage back in the early 90s during the Dexter Yeager and Bill Britt and Bo Short era. I never made any money we were in that crap for about a year and a half went to all their major functions and everything and what I wouldn’t give to get 10% of the money that they stole from us back. Back then the books and tapes as they used to call it we’re coming directly from a separate company and that’s where all the money was being made. It was owned by Dexter and it was called Internet I believe? All the money we spent on those books and tapes what I wish I could have back and their products were garbage.

unfortunately, even though he's ordered to pay this much money, he has probably already shuttled the earnings to his different LLCs and family trusts and what not that are no longer touchable. rich people have a way to hide their assets

Really glad that the first lawsuit against Amway that started it all (and failed) and led to so many other MLM schemes popping up is now coming back around for Amway. Hope this is a sign that the FTC is regaining some power and can get these scams shut down

The fact that the top ranks of Amway people are making significant parts of their income from manipulating their downline into paying for their own brainwashing makes Amway my number one most hated MLM. That is extra despicable.

These trainings keep them hopped up on hope that one day they can be successful if they just keep spending and keep refusing to give up…

And their successful upline are taking in the profit of their continued spending, not only on the products, but on the brainwashing trainings themselves.

That is above and beyond vile.
