It pissed me off when the reps of BP just came out and basically called their customers idiots for thinking that they were buying genuine stones when that’s exactly what they were told they were. Most people don’t have the extent of knowledge and experience that Matt has in the industry. I for one didn’t know that Alexandrite was a gem stone. And that the one that BP sells most certainly is fake as a stone that size would have costed BP 40k. If they sold them originally as costume jewellery and admitted that they weren’t genuine stones no one would care. I really don’t believe that Lilian had no idea and if she did she is to inept to be a CEO of a company that sells supposed gem stones

Never did BP, but I had assumed at first that keeping the good stuff rare was what balanced out the prices - so most rings could be pretty but cheap, and a few people would get good stuff.
