We went all the way where it began, back to the Waluigi in Mario 64 DS video.

18:29 The original DS had a actual back light and not a LCD screen like later versions of the DS. Thus you could turn the back light on and off.

I’m not joking when I say I’ve occasionally searched up 64 DS icebergs on YouTube for years hoping to find one specifically for the DS version and ofc the legend himself was the one to make it happen 🙏

fun fact: according to some ppl, the purple rabbit can only be found in US manuals for the game. Myself i still have my european manual and there isnt any purple rabbit image.

We need a Five Night’s At Wario’s Iceberg

Aye! I'm just stumbling upon this now... Glad to see you covering this topic again. ❤️ Had a blast working with you on the initial 2021 project.

Would love to work on something in the future with you. 💪

The Super Mario 64 DS psycho breakdown and that took a long time to find out

I LOVE THIS! Your Waluigi in SM64 DS video from years back is one of my favorites and you're a master of creating an eerie atmosphere in your videos.

In the Japanese release of the original super mario 64. Jolly Roger bay paintings actually uses the same picture as the one used in the ds. But in most other international  releases the game uses the pirate ship. So sm64ds uses the Japanese version of the painting.

And for the backlight option it's a bug. It works as normal on the original launch model of the DS. But the backlight feature is  broken on the later iterations of the DS and never been fixed

I want the music list lol it’s good and creepy

1:27 mfw I'm watching a video when it's 30 degrees and it's telling me to grab a hot beverage

No way! I just realize you were WWWario. I used to the waluigi hoax videos on my Nintendo wii over a decade ago. It just clicked. Wowwwww

I lowkey still watch the old Waluigi theory videos from time to time. The outcome never changes though :(

My personal theory is that the original game was meant to be structured like this: You start off playing as mario like the original 64 game, and then you unlock luigi and wario the same way, but once you beat bowser in the sky and rescue peach, you would unlock peach as the 4th character, and her door would be the one next to wario. The pinkish/purplish dots and rabbits could've been actually meant for peach, and peach has unused animations in the game for walking, running, jumping, etc. Peach's crown naturally would work as her hat item, and it's known that the developers around this era were already trying to get peach to work in games like new super mario bros wii, so I think it's really plausible that peach was meant to be the 4th character.

Also this would explain why there are more stars added in the DS version, because after that, once you got all the stars in the game, you'd go on the castle and yoshi would be there, and then you would unlock him as the final character, as a bonus one for 100%ing the game. I think that's what they planned on doing originally before they scrapped that idea and went into the 64x4 multiplayer era where they were gonna make the game into a multiplayer heavy game as the main feature, which is evidenced by the fact that every single level in the game has 4 different entrances, which were meant for the 4 characters that would be playable simultaneously in every level. But ultimately that was scrapped too, and then we ended up with the game we know today!

A Triple W for this SM64 DS video appearing in my feed

No way! You've come full circle! Your channel is great man, I like seeing different content like this!

For the Jolly Roger Bay painting, the one with the bubbles was actually used in the Japanese version of the N64 game, but was replaced by the ship everywhere else. I personally prefer the ship version, not sure why they used the bubble version in DS.

Man posted this while I’m working I feel betrayed

Oh my god dude dont remind me of Waluigi lol, I tried every single thing, looked up every single video, ah good times, however that is how I found your channel, so it wasn't all bad

Holy shit I used to watch your Waluigi videos when I was a kid. I had no idea that I was still subscribed to your channel or that you were still making videos  so this was a nice surprise
