I always found it interesting that the game would not shut up about the MC's ability to seemingly resonate with sound, and the fact that many questlines play into that ability, it's as if the game is tryna yell at us, "THIS IS AN IMPORTANT PLOT POINT."

Meanwhile I'm over here like "My guy, stop over explaining your gift or else someone will USE IT AGAINST YOU HELLO?!'

I also want to add, when Jiang Wulang saw a vision during the battle with void king, he saw the MC fighting Li Zuo.. The person in the vision has a similar scar where the baby was scratched by an arrow..

Last theory is the best, we're just some dude, John winds even

An important variable is also the MC's ability to learn secret martial arts and techniques easily. Most people spend years perfecting one art; the MC learns just by watching others practice. He/she also learns quickly to cultivate their 'Qi' from reading manuals (even if not always successfully). At the very least, the MC is an incredible prodigy. In many wuxia novels however such prodigies are often the scions of a powerful bloodline.

After hearing this theory, I'm fairly certain the protagonist is a candidate for Emperor. The ability to detect oddities and hear human voices is a signal of the emperor's qualities. The jade is important because it's the only evidence that the protagonist is indeed a prince/princess (a cliché plot twist). Our uncle took the jade back because he knew he couldn't control MC (even Aunt Han was angry because of MC's rambling about the martial arts world or JiangHu), as a backup plan. (what if) Plot Twist our Unc actually never went far off always near us as i wonder why the checkpoint are Hat and Sword just like the one who take our pendant at the start (assuming its our uncle) technically when we die we actually just got saved by him.

I believe the MC is some 'Named' person's child for the game lore.
If he/she is an ordinary child, wouldn't Jiang Yan give the child to someone to raise. Unless it show Jiang Yan adopting many stray children then it's possible MC is just someone ordinary.

the story havent even properly started. Protagonist is still reliving all  the past  situations . Qinghe and Kaifeng are just a start.

Personally I think Li Zuo's daughter fits what we've seen so far, if having a jade pendant really is a big deal, no way we're a commoner at the very least, Wang Qing is unlikey due to age, and also doesn't explain why such interest from Li Zuo to send the void king after Jiang Yan on the first place for that pendant specifically, that means at the very least, the pendant linked to us is very important to LI Zuo, then there's the whole part where Void King confuses us wiht Li Zuo and Li Zuo sneding Qianye even though Jiang Yan was no longer around there, as well as Qianye sparing us, she had a clear oportunity to kill us but she just stood there with the scythe on our throat, while she killed everyone else on sight.

I believe her orders were to capture us, maybe to blackmail Aunt Han for the list, maybe on a personal order by Li Zuo. Jiang Yan could raise us maybe because he feels responsible for taking us, or because he wants to ensure that the child of Li Zuo doesn't grow up rotten or something, for the greater good and all that. Also maybe Jiang Yan didn't carve our name into the jade, maybe he gave us the name that was already on the jade

Im assuming they are either the true Emperor or someone of the royal bloodline.
Qianye had every chance to kill the YM but she didnt, and shes a member of the Aureate Pavillion.
Void King also seeing Li Zhuos reflection in us is important as well.
After reading through as many things as possible YM is anything but commoner/ordinary.
Jiang Yan is also a wanderer himself, why would he spend all this time raising us his way if we werent important?

Oh MC is someone important alright. I’m sticking to the simple facts that Jiang Yan saved us at all cost. He took us under his wings and taught us his righteous martial arts. He made sure we didn’t fall into a wrong lair. I think he left to avoid danger that may come to us, aw I miss him. ❤

I want to add that there's a trailer/teaser for the game where Jiang Yan attacks us (MC), but in his vision, he sees Li Zuo.

i heard about the same theory as the last one noticing the sword that mc used in the cutscene fighting uncle jiang has hollow gaps in between making the sword vibrates in a different frequency

he was only 19!??? ngl i thought he was 30 sum 😭

I personally suspect that we're a result of Li Zuo's experiments on immortality. Not any solid proof, tbh, just Vibes.

The MC is most likely heir to the empire or the last of some legendary sect

How do we know for a fact that the jade disc did not hold our name the whole time, and as far as I could tel by some light research it would have been a special item with a persons name engraved, the engraving visuals looks solid and at least I on the english version have not yet heard any referance to someone carving it after the fact; the game could simply leave it out in the very start because the game does not know what name we want and it is a game. He could have been asked by some person he respected to take the child that someone else was caring for, maybe the rescuer was the general? It could be more than 3 options here. As long as I can't see evidence that the mc's name was carved after the fact in jade disc, and I cannot find any reference that someone other than the elite would have such an item.. I'm sceptical of the commoner angle. I also find it quite fun speculating about such things.

this channel will grow up for everything we need to know about the game

We are nobody, or at least that's the impression the NPCs give us. They don't care who we are, where we come from, or what we want. They act as if we don't exist.
If you pay attention to the way the NPCs talk to us, this becomes even more apparent, it's like talking to a ghost. What you say doesn't matter, only they speak and they don't hear..

Maybe Chairong's illegitimate Son/Daughter or some Aureate Pavilion monstrosity created through ritual, just speculating the young master is unbelievable most of the time, i mean learning martial arts just looking at it once i don't believe he/she is just a nobody.

The MC isn't anyone's child. It's like from the drama series "Joy of Life", the MC is somewhat a person from another dimension being transported into the world of Jianghu. In such a case, Jiang Yan might've just took the MC from the village he passed through while escaping or, he might've be from the bloodline of the fallen General.
