54:47  Bruce didn't choose Harvey over Rachel - the Joker told him the OPPOSITE addresses for each of them.  When Batman's running out of the police station, he tells Gordon he's going to save Rachel, and then Gordon tells the cops they're going to save Harvey.

The Joker swapped the addresses just to screw with Batman even more.

Harvey was flipping a double headed coin.  Both sides were the same.  After Rachel died, one side was burnt.

Heath Ledger was just outstanding as Joker

arron eckhart, two face's actor, did a interview years ago about what it was like working with heath on this film. one day, he saw heath in full joker make-up in the hospital room for their scene together. and he was just moving around. he wasn't saying his lines. he knew that backwards and forwards. he just wanted to get the physical actions of the scene down. and when they practiced the scene, arron said neither of them spoke a single word. they just did the motions, going over the lines in their heads. he said that that moment was one of the greatest moments of acting in his career and felt so honored to be able to share this scene with heath.

31:15 Notice that he gave 2 different orgin stories for his scars. The best Joker hands down. RIP Heath.

I met Heath ledger on the set of Brokeback Mountain. I worked on movies for 10 years that were shot in Alberta Canada where Brokeback was also shot.

I wasn’t working on it, but I saw a movie crew in the tiny town I lived near and connected with the script supervisor on the Film, who was a good friend years before and she introduced me to Heath and also to Ang Lee the director.

My friend had nearly 30 years experience as a script supervisor on movies and she said the Brokeback set was the most calm set she ever worked on. Ang was Buddhist and he started each day with a blessing,  getting the crew together, feeling blessed for their days work before the work ahead which is often long and arduous on a Film set.

Heath was extremely friendly and personable. He noticed the tattoo on my wrist, which is an Egyptian eye of Horus. He asked me what it meant, and I told him it was the symbol of resurrection, good luck and also that Egyptians used it as a reminder to lead a balanced life.

He asked me if it worked for me and I said oh yes, it’s great as I pretended to lose my balance and he laughed.

He showed me some of his Mauri tattoos.

Later my friend told me he was one of the kindest people she had met in the business or indeed anywhere. She said he was always looking out for other people.

I was so sad when I heard he had passed away. Life isn’t fair. But I’m so grateful I got to meet him and feel what a kind, funny and personable soul he was.

He did not commit suicide. It was prescribed medications for different conditions (including insomnia and chronic back pain) by different doctors. Since each doctor was not made aware of the other prescriptions, Heath was never informed that some of them were contraindicated. Several of them had the side effect of lowering heart rate. Taken together, they slowed his heart rate to a critically low level and he passed away

Batman has always been referred to as "The Dark Knight" just as Superman is called "The Man of Steel"

Harvey's coin has both sides heads (revealed at 42:50). He never left anything to chance until that point. After he gave it to rachel and she got burnt, batman retrieved it and one side was burned (black), which became the other face, now becoming 50-50.

Joker is trying to let batman break his "No kill" rule to prove that everyone is like him when the chips are down.

Joker flipped the address of Rachel and Harvey to play on batman (to kill whoever he cares more).

So…..the best theory about The Joker is that he’s ex-military….he can fluently operate nearly weapon….has hand to hand combat skills….is great at strategy and infiltration ….knows and understands interrogation….it was comedian Paton Oswald who came up with this theory….i think it checks

54:56 And NOW Alfred has known her her whole life.

I think you guys missed that BOTH sides of the coin are heads. Thats why Harvey used to say that he doesn't ACTUALLY leave things to chance. After his accident, the coin was burnt on one side - just like him. After the Joker hyped him up, he started actually believing in black and white morality/chance. So the coin toss were legit only after he lost his mind basically. When he gave the coin to Rachel she noticed that both sides were heads and she decided she would be with him then (plus how he sacrificed himself saying he was batman)

Saw this at a midnight opening. When joker made that pencil disappear the audience erupted.

The Joker lied to Batman about the location where he was holding Dent and Rachel. He forces Batman to make a choice about who to save but then ensures that he can't save the person he chose.

heath ledger absolutely BODIED this role. absolute perfection, i dont think anybody could’ve played this role any better than he did, to this day.

Bruce did go for Rachel. The Joker switched the addresses.

57:00 Joker switched the addresses. can never trust that guy.

You know if this was real life EVERY news station would put that joker video out

56:47 man I really wish y’all clocked Joker lied about who was at what address 😅
